I should have been more clear when I said "all the other rotors will pull out of your fingers from the magnetic forces when you try to slide it into the can." I meant all the other "brushless rotors" rip out of fingers from the magnetic forces when you try to slide them back into the can.

Well, just as I had suspected. The motor has lost its mojo. It makes everything really hot really fast then the esc shuts down.

It's a small consolation, but at least the motors are fairly cheap... It's not like you blew both of them. Although, are you sure it's just the motor and not the ESC, or both?

Its definately the motor. I've got a 380c motor which works just fine with the MM ESC. If I put the MM motor in and run it, in 60 seconds everything is burning hot. Wires, ESC, motor. It must of really overheated with the sand in it and lost its magnatism.
