You get the point!

Those are top notch lipoly packs at this moment.

lipomax 04.03.2005 10:46 AM

Maybe you used 12 cells but put them in parallel instead of series. I don't mean to sound insulting, but I believe that with the two battery packs, you hooked up positive to positve and negative to negative. When you hook up 2 batteries to make a "12 cell pack", you're supposed to hook up the negative from one to the positive of the other so all the cells are end to end.

Serum 04.03.2005 10:53 AM

That's another option..

Did'nt crossed my mind..

RC-Monster Mike 04.03.2005 10:54 AM

I agree with Serum and Lipomaxx. The 12 cells were probably wired in parallel, so the only speed you gained is from the extra current capability of the dual packs. The batteries are a huge limiting factor as well. One good 7 or 8 cell pack will propel that thing to the mid 40s pretty easily. The Kokam Lipos are awesome as well, and would really turn it into a rocketship.

lipomax 04.03.2005 12:23 PM

He also geared it 2 teeth taller - that alone would give that speed increase.

RC-Monster Mike 04.03.2005 12:26 PM

True. It is unlikely that the cells were wired in series either way.

Quebecois_Sti 04.03.2005 05:39 PM

no my pack was in series.
this is my wire that I use to be in series
http://www.aubergearnold.qc.ca/downl...livier/v_1.jpg
with my multimeter it give me 14.78v (note : the battery is was not charged)
http://www.aubergearnold.qc.ca/downl...livier/v_2.jpg
http://www.aubergearnold.qc.ca/downl...livier/v_3.jpg

if it was in parallel it would be 7.2v and 6000mah (same speed but more runtime)

now, i think I will wait at towerhobbies until the pack is in stock and I will order a 3s and a 2s...

Serum 04.03.2005 05:48 PM

You are planning on running it on 3S or 2S?

Just try a good 8 pack of GP3300's first! Don't know if you allready have got a proper lipoly charger?

Quebecois_Sti 04.03.2005 05:53 PM

yes I have a good LiPo charger
http://www.aubergearnold.qc.ca/downl...rgeur_lipo.jpg

I use it with my 3s 11.1v 1900mah for my mini-t and it run great!

I just have to take the jumper and put it on 3s 11.1v and
2500mah.

I will run it on a 3s AND a 2s. (not at the sametime, not in series, lol!)

lipomax 04.03.2005 09:28 PM

I'd have to agree with Serum: Your batteries are crap. With 12 cells and geared 18/86, you should be going over 50 mph!

Quebecois_Sti 04.04.2005 07:27 AM

the 2s 7.4v 3200mah will going at which speed ?
because 2 3s is sooo expensive but I can buy 2 2s...

Serum 04.04.2005 08:51 AM

Just buy the GP3300's (build 8 or 10 packs from them) and it will fly.

On 2S lipoly, it won't be very fast.

lipomax 04.04.2005 09:51 AM

Get get 1 3s lipo and then save your money, and get another one. A 3s3200 will go about 42 mph with 18/86 gearing. The 2s won't be any faster than 6 cell NiMH.

RC-Monster Mike 04.04.2005 06:15 PM

I bet the 2s LiPo would be faster than the 6 nimh cells he is currently using! you could even get two 2s LiPo packs and run them in parallel (6400 Mah) and be about the same weight as 6 nimh cells. Personally, I run the 3s pack or above, but I run bigger trucks!

Quebecois_Sti 04.04.2005 07:40 PM

whats it the max turns that the Feigao 8s can handle ?
