I have an extra one that I wouldn't mind parting with, but what the heck are you going to use it for?

EDIT If your LHS has it in stock, you can just pick it up there pretty cheap: http://www.buytraxxas.com/product_in...oducts_id=2164

It fits perfectly in an RD quickturn, This way I can extend it to work with the E-revo.

Check it out on the nitro version

call me crazy but its cheap and easy. Guess I'll stop by the LHS and see if they have one. TY

it doesn't HAVE to be that shaft in particular. The stock maxx shaft should work, ad would the FOC shaft and others...

Although, the FOC shaft is lightened (Ti coated aluminum??) - some people may not want this for the strength aspect. It's held up fine in my BL Revo...

Installed my extended quickturn today. Modded a revo output shaft to fit, had to cut the chassis alittle bit because the e-maxx trany is square center for the chasiss.

I hacked up a revo trany shifting clutch to hold the bearing in place.

That setscrew; is that a thru-pin? or just a setscrew?

Rcbros 10.10.2006 02:06 AM

Its just a set screw. The hole normally has a pin that goes all the way through. But I made the diameter larger and then tapped it to fit a set screw on one side.

Serum 10.10.2006 02:14 AM

I hope it will hold up! it's rather soft aluminum. Can't you use the thru-pin?

Rcbros 10.10.2006 02:33 AM

Yeah I hope it will hold up as well. this is a test for now.

Thru pin wouldn't work as I'd have no way to secure it unless I used some CA. But have you ever tired to drill a hole with that small of a drill bit and only having a dremel? lol Its not fun nor does the bit last long before it snaps.

Luckily it doesn't server any real stress purpose. It simply keeps the OW from backing out. So it should do its job.

you could've used a revo/Emaxx axle as well its the same diameter se the RD one way bearing

Cool man!!!

looking very nice.. those rims give the revo a huge wheelbase..

Rcbros 10.14.2006 06:25 PM

Yeah there 1/2 offset. So its a wide mother trucker lol.

JThiessen 10.16.2006 10:43 AM

What reciever are you going to use? I have that same RPM box, but dont have any recievers small enough for it, and without having good knowledge of what's good/bad, I've been a little leery of buying one. I dont know if this makes any difference, but I'm also looking to purchase a good multimodel transmitter.
