No, don't use a metal spur! More rotational mass and it knackers pinions.

Well if you want to buy a 12 dollar or 25 dollar pinions more often i won't stop
you. Some people was only getting about 3 runs on a pinion. So 4 dollars per
run is not bad. :D

I have a RR slipper on my emaxx and it worked great with a C50 Hacker setup. I haven't run it in about 2 years.

Mine has the plastic spur.... 66T I think.

66T is way to big. I need 46-54 only. Just trying to make the truck stable then I can figue out how to go faster.
