If you get the 4900mah FlightPower packs, you'll notice that they're much smaller and narrower than the 3700mah.
Also, for those who want to buy the Evo20s from the US, this is a site you can visit:
www.flightpowerusa.com

It is actually called atlantahobbies, but once you click on the link I gave you, it will automatically direct you there.

thanks for the link... prices are prett good there....

So these are better cells than maxamps? And what is the difference between 2s1p, and 2s2p? Are they both the same just built different to make up the 2s? I know it's a dumb question, but just curious.

aqwut 11.11.2006 12:27 PM

I would beleive so......

captain harlock 11.11.2006 01:40 PM

These are profissionally made and they hold up more amps than most lipos at a certain voltage.
The service is very friendly, actually.

Yes, Flightpower cells > Maxamps. Hands down. :)

aqwut 11.11.2006 02:41 PM

but flight power have the new cells right?... the 5S1P 5000 Cells.... I wonder how they compare to the 5S2P (5000 Mah).... I think their website said something about new chemistry... I see they cost a bit more...

captain harlock 11.11.2006 04:49 PM

Shouldn't we persuade Mike to carry them?

I dont think people would turn away from it just because its pricy. The 19 series motors were thought to be pricy, but in the long run they're waaay cheaper than a $70 Feigao...:)

I even shortenned the FlightPower cells and thought they'll swell up and become damaged, but for my amazement, nothing happenned.

They're truely the greatest lipos you can get.

I can just quote you.
I did the same with a huge 5S pack. I meeeeeelted the connectors and I surely
taken some age from them, but by now they still push very well.

I cannot say the same for other brands I tried in the past.

Ciao,
Daniele

So Mike, you MUST carry those as soon as possible.

MetalMan 11.11.2006 11:39 PM

Maxamps cells are among the highest value. Based off of people's statements here, Flightpower cells are very high performance. For the guy like myself, value comes over performance, so I would choose Maxamps.

aqwut 11.12.2006 01:15 AM

I like performance & Quality... it's priceless.. ;)

Let's wait for the new maxamps cells to proof what they can do lads..

It would be nice if the maxamps can deliver as advertised. It's plain simple; if they are that good, they will be the bomb and sell like nothing else. (both their price and preformance is very good then) with the current maxamps cells, you simple need a 2P setup. If you can't bare the weight of the extra cells, you need to dig deeper in your wallet.

Lets hope the new maxamps will be as advertised.

aqwut 11.12.2006 12:13 PM

yes.. I'm hoping that too....like you said, that would be a plus for all of us...

Nick 11.14.2006 04:35 PM

So happy with them, orderd another 3s1p 3700 pack. :)

Can't wait to plug it into my E-Maxx, I'll put pictures up towards the end of the week.
