well if it still works, lucky you....but didn't you know snow turns to water when it melts, and water is bad for electronics period......

Its just the motor...brushed motors work fine even totally submerged in water...BL motors should work fine too...the motor itself is even less complicated than a brushed one.

Plus...how is getting a little water on the motor can going to be so bad?

i know brushed motors run fine in water, that is one way to break them in.....but considering how much a Bl motor can cost...I'm not willing to try that...so BY all means let us know....I for one.....won't subject my electronics to water unless on accident, especially a Bl motor......

The motor is probably not going to get harmed much with water, but I would be more concerned with the ESC. Typical ground water has minerals in it that are somewhat conductive and could cause problems with some of the sensitive components in an ESC.

well said brainG

Why thank you. :)

Something else: Parts may rust if they are using uncoated steel...

Yea...my bearings are shot. No worries though...I'm ordering some Rubber Sealed ones soon.

I didn't do things quite as thoroughly as I normally do because I basically rushed the truck together so I could bring it to the snow. Had I not wanted it in the snow, I probably would have built it during my spring break instead...

Just make sure those bearings are up to the task of the high RPMs these little motors can put out!
