I've been meaning to get a radar but all my budget now is toward a Jammin CRT conversion that will get RC truck of the year when it's done! I just used a buddy to time me over a 100 foot stretch, and calculated the speeds. You'd be surprised how repeatable the measurements were. But in all likelyhood, it's around 45, not 50. I've seen pedes hit just over 60 but they needed 5s voltage and the motor couldn't handle it for long. Personally, anything over 40 is a waste to me for a truck. I wouldn't think of doing the drive along method. Once you get a little pede going 45 or so, tracking straight is not too easy!

We have a 42mph Pede, I too was convinced it was doing 60 :)
However, lately we ordered a MambMax/Twist combo. According to the speed calculator we could see upwards of 60MPH under 3S. I can't wait to try it out this spring :004:

Yea, but after seeing a 2.5 jato go all out at my hobby shop, i could say my B4 is VERY close to its speed, but i can say right off the accel is a ton better than the jato.

Mike.L 01.16.2007 07:29 PM

hmm....that means both of ours should easly hit 50MPH? IDK sounds odd i doubt it goes that fast...unless your using lipo.(but your saying this when you had those gp3300s still?)

Sylvester 01.16.2007 09:24 PM

When i tried it on Gp3700s it was fast, and i didnt even have it on full throttle settings! It was almost too fast, i dont know if ill handle lipo, but thats what the esc is for ; adjustments!

Mike.L 01.16.2007 09:35 PM

its going to be quite alot for a track unless you decrease the acel alot:)

Sylvester 01.16.2007 09:36 PM

A steady finger helps alot too.

Mike.L 01.16.2007 09:44 PM

Yep thats one of the key steps to becoming a good racer:)

cadima 01.17.2007 11:18 PM

you guys crack me up! All that work to transform the pede and make a Lipo comparment integrated underneath the FLm chassis, which allows me to swap batteries without pullin the body, and get my CofG to minumin, and I get quibbling about speed. give me some props please!

Awesome ride cadima. Love what you did with the battery compartment.

There is that better LOL.

Imo id prefer a higher cog with better saftey rather than the opposite.
