I agree. I will be sending them my whole setup so that they can see if I am shorting out on something or what may be causing it to burn up.

Yea I haven't been around the R/C scene in a long time, kinda out of it for now.

My Gorillamaxx had a quite of bit of runs until I got too busy to play with it.

Funny thing is I am still running the Hardened Steel mod 1 Spur and Hardened Steel mod 1 pinion on it.. LOL.. Yeah I was testing it to see how long it would last, and it was good. Just haven't been running it for a while now.

Very cool battery holder. Did you fab that one yourself or buy it? Right now I just strap my Lipo to the stock battery holder with a rubber band. Need a better solution.

use a zip tie to secure the battery like this pic works for me.

That looks pretty secure as long as you don't want to change the battery very often.

How do you keep the battery from sliding against the driveshaft?

yes ofcourse this is if you did not want to change the batt. that is what i did. to keep it from hitting the drive shaft i slid the battery untill it hit these stops that keep the battery from touching the driveshaft. there are like vertical fins that make this possable on the stock chassis.

I fabed it myself using a piece of polycarbonate. Light yet strong. I also have it so it's protected against the driveshaft. The top part was made so I could remove the battery but have it secure when its locked down.
