I agree. I will be sending them my whole setup so that they can see if I am shorting out on something or what may be causing it to burn up.

Hey Harlock and Gorillamaxx360... It has been a long time?
Yea I haven't been around the R/C scene in a long time, kinda out of it for now. My Gorillamaxx had a quite of bit of runs until I got too busy to play with it. Funny thing is I am still running the Hardened Steel mod 1 Spur and Hardened Steel mod 1 pinion on it.. LOL.. Yeah I was testing it to see how long it would last, and it was good. Just haven't been running it for a while now. |
I love your truck it is definatly in my top 10 most coolest rc cars i have ever seen

use a zip tie to secure the battery like this pic works for me.

How do you keep the battery from sliding against the driveshaft? |
yes ofcourse this is if you did not want to change the batt. that is what i did. to keep it from hitting the drive shaft i slid the battery untill it hit these stops that keep the battery from touching the driveshaft. there are like vertical fins that make this possable on the stock chassis.

I fabed it myself using a piece of polycarbonate. Light yet strong. I also have it so it's protected against the driveshaft. The top part was made so I could remove the battery but have it secure when its locked down.
