Hi,
Mike has come through for me ! I only hope that my poor drawing skills did not let me down. If all goes well, I'll be BL powered again come next weekend (but may have to wait until week after next to get a run as next weekend is the last day of Chinese New Year - no way to escape the mandatory celebrations).:012: Regards, Joe Ling |
Nice design and nice execution! I'm really digging the one-piece rear diff carrier/motor mount. Screwing it to the stock plastic diff holder works, but don't like how you have to put the pinion WAAAAY on the end of the motor shaft to make it work.
Very cool! Sleeb |
I have got to agree, that is a very ncie design. I am sure it won't let you down.

Nice design! Looks good!

Very nice! Why are the celebrations mandatory??

Hi guys,
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Mike sent me that pic of the mount just as he finished it. So, I will have to wait for Mr. Postman to deliver the item & it will take a week at least. :002: Hi squeeforever, Chinese New year lasts 15days. However, for practical purposes, only 2 days of public holiday is granted where I live (first 2 days). However, apparently, the last day of the CNY is also significant & much celebrated (although not a public holiday) occassion. That's the best I can do :o :005: In the mean time, I'm brushing up my driving skills with my nitro buggy. Wonder why the silly buggy always get sucked into the bricks lining the edge of the track ? :027: Regards, Joe Ling |

I have another theory; i keep driving up on the pvc pipe lane markers at my track. I think they glued the caps on on a real hot day, then in the cooler weather there is a vacuum near the rails.

I say go for the nitro. Later on you can think of it as an appreciation period you went threw.

Hi,
A big thank you to Mike!:004: I have received the motor mount & it has been installed. Gonna test it in 1/2hrs time if the rain doesn't come by then.:002: Regards, Joe Ling |
Looks nice!
I see you are retaining the steel spur and are using a hardened pinion. I'm curious how that holds up. The general consensus says that the pinion will get eaten away, but the mesh on your mount is quite solid, and I think that has a LOT to do with the longevity of the pinion/spur. |
That motor mount looks amazing. I hope mine will looks as nice s that one. Mike is making it for me right now. :027:
