LOL, yeah, we do tend to get carried away! :)
And BP, I'll see if I can find the datasheet for the FETs in the Quark (since I know what those part numbers are). You'll see that the current rating falls quite rapidly at anything over 25*C. IIRC, at 50*C, current capability is halved. And you have to remember that your temp measurements are being taken from a heatsink attached to the FETs plastic case. Not exactly the most efficient transfer of heat... |
Call me a retard, but wouldnt an evx be any good, or would the current draw from the 700s cook it alive? That is a nice, if unusual, looking motor mount- it will take normal size 540-550 motors too I reckon (measure motor diameter), so you could use just about any motors/esc combo. Or flogg the conversion on ebay and get a brushless set up.... so many options.
