Jammin for sure but Im biased. I may have a CRT pro for sale soon. Its in pretty good condition with rebuild diffs and shocks. PM if your interested.
|
buy an lst2, Mike is working on a conversion right now they are tough as nails and they have great speed out of the box, They also handle awesome and come with allumium diffs.
|
I already ordered a 2nd LSP-R. For the price, I couldn't pass it up. I'll just run a little bit different brushless setup in each of them. Besides, the extra parts will always be handy if I break something on one of them.
However, I like the idea of the LST2 if Mike does come out with a conversion. That might have to be what comes next after the LSP-R's are done. |
just curious.. what does "alot of mods" include on the LSP-R's? I'm thinking about ordering one tommorow after i deposite my paycheck.
the MBX-5T Prospec's around $650 the LSP-R's are still on sale for $260 on ultimatehobbies is the MBX5T that much better? i know it probably outhandles, and out accelerates.. but $400 faster? |

Quite a few LSP racers are converting to the front CRT suspension. Lower and upper arms, c hub, cvd, wheel hex, outer hinge pic, and jammin offset wheels to get more steering. |

You can find some more specific info by reading through the Hot Bodies forum over at truggyracers.com |
off-set wheels decrease steering.
i would be scared to buy an lsp-r, i read on an other forum that there gonna discontinue them soon and all the spare's aswell. |

Using the crt suspension setup alloys for more steering throw. So when using normal offset wheels the wheels can hit the arms thats why they say use the wide offset or you can notch the arm. |
A-main has a good price on the prospec truggy now.(in all, there prices are good.) But the losi, beautiful!
|
ok, so i read up on some truggyracer threads last night, and made a list of what i'll need..
17mm- pins - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2742 hex - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2717 cvd kit - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5928 cvd - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5925 stubs x2 - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5519 buggy arms- hubs - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2692 towers - http://www.rc-edit.com/piw.php?partN...kit=17&lang=en upper arms - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2685 3 degree plate - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3215 ackerman - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3227 bellcranks - http://www.rc-edit.com/piw.php?partN...kit=17&lang=en knuckles - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3219 I'm not sure if that's the right 3 degree plate to use.. couldn't find an exact answer, only that it's 3 degrees. also, the buggy arm conversion that i think I'll try uses RC-Edit towers, as they have an additional hole, that's used to hold the buggy arm's hinge pin. is there another setup, that you'd recomend that I could use the stock towers? do you guys have a parts list for the CRT conversion? what else am I missing? I'd like to do as little "hacking" as possible on the front end. and also, I'm not sure where to get RC-Edit parts from, as there's no US dealer listed. and, the KWM axles are recomended instead of the Sportwerks axles.. that part doesn't show on KWM's site, so i'm guessing ebay's probably my best bet at finding a set? not meaning to hijack, just interested in what the lsp can be turned into. btw, I've got MT3 rims that are made for the ofna dominator. I'm assuming that those are the same offset as the Jammin's? skellyo, do you have a link to "mugen steering links"? |
The Mugen should definitely be in your list. I recently did an 8ight buggy for a friend of mine, and after having run it for about a month, he's selling it. He just can't get the hang of the way it handles. After my having gotten the Muggy converted, he's decided to go with the MBX5 Truggy. It handles well and does it easily.
Personally, if I were to do another buggy, it would have to be the X-Ray. Those things make even me look good. |
You can use the buggy upper arm mod with stock towers I believe. Also, the Mugen links are nothing but MBX5 rear camber links used as turnbuckles. I have so much steering the rims hit the arms, so steering isn't a problem. I am using the 22* hub conversion, 17mm axle conversion with 23mm hubs (Mayhem axle stubs), custom shock towers that come with the BPP LSP (probably gonna get RC-Edit towers), with the mugen steering links, and a doubled up stock ackerman. I have a kingheadz, but it will limit steeing which defeats the purpose....Sylvester should be able to help you since I sent him a list of mods to do that was so long it took 3 PM's...I acidentally deleted it. :frown: It only took me 2 hours to make the list....
|
Ive still got that list, anyone who wants it, PM me.
|
Sylvester, send it to me so I can make a sticky of it since it is so long and there seems to be a uproar of LSP's popping up.
|
KMW discontinued there axles for the lsp.
