My gearbox gears are greased and oiled with silicon grease and generic oil. Not the greatest, but it's all I had at the time unfortunately. I guess we'll see how it all holds up. :) Thanks...

I've been having difficulty going above 40 MPH reliably. The problem I'm having is that the only things buggy tires want to do at those speeds is balloon and fly off the wheels. I've tried CA'ing them to the rims, and belting them with fibreglass strands in between the tread. The fibreglass strands snap and the tires pull off the rims eventually. Well I'm going to try use kevlar for the belting next as that will be MUCH stronger, but I was wondering about alternative tires.

Does anyone know of something better than buggy wheels that I can use? Maybe touring car wheels/tires? If it can fit an RC10B4 it should work on mine.

I'd really like to try hit 60 MPH with my RC10, and I'm pretty sure this power system will do it. Help :)

What about some hard foams? I remember hearing something about Jaco (or something like that) tires...

I had a look at Jaco tires. They make some great rim/tire sets, but it doesn't look like anything that'll fit a buggy. Closest they do is for an RC10 truck. I don't think the trucks will use the same size axles?

There's a company called " Panther" at towerhobbies who has some buggy slick tires for the B4. Probably you might want to check them out.

I've stupidly burnt my Jazz 10-32-55 controller last weekend because of reveresed polarities.

Bad luck! I think Kontronik are good with repairing/replacing burnt controllers. You might not have to pay full price for a new one...

I've been doing some poking around. I think Jaco 28mm touring car tires will fit on my rears and Jaco 1/10 Fronts will fit on my fronts with some custom bearings. This should be fun!

I did some more speed runs on the oval the other night. This time with gripier rear tires and 5S lipo. I wish I had something to measure speed accuractely, but the car was geared for a theoretical speed of 60 MPH. I'm pretty sure I must have hit 50 MPH...

RC10 craziness

The Jazz worked flawlessly. The main problem again was tires. Even KEVLAR belting didn't hold up. And you can hear the wheels vibrating in the video.

I think this will be the last time I do this with my RC10. I've got my BJ4WE now and a set of Jaco foamies on the way. :) :004: The Jazz and Hacker will be moving to that car soon....
