Purple? it reminds me of rather cheap build cars.. That's what's wrong with it.. stanced aluminium. Molded GPM parts.. Savage hopups you don't want to buy..

HPI/HB, they all use purple. i like silver, gunmetal, blue and black. Purple isn't doing me any favour. So i guess it's just another matter of taste Squee.

And if you've seen the rest of Ryans collection purple doesn't fit.. :p

Yea, I've seen most of em. I myself am rather fond of purple, black, silver, and a hint of red, like the Traxxas hopups that come in red. Not much on blue really...A little here and there is ok.

I'll take mine in "monster blue" please. :)
And Ryan - sweet buggy - I can hardly wait for the day when you learn the benefits of Lipos, though. That 16 cell tank could fly like the wind with a nice pair of Lipos(more power and half the weight).

That does look very nice indeed, like it came from the factory like that. I'm making a L2Pro myself Here but it looks very amatureish in comparison.
I went for a motor low on one side and my battery on a tray. Yours has more room for cells, perfect balance, better cell cooling and it looks like by droping the cells into the chassis instead of raising it up to the mud guards you may have a lower CG despite the high motor.

I stick with the 16 cell packs as ive got two of them and they fit my maxx too, it was the easiest and cheapest way to build this buggy.

Even if this has a higher centre of gravity i'd leave it this way, symetry is very important to me! :)

I think He means that this design enables the batteries to lay lower than with the usual height of the batterieholders. (onto the mud guards)

Yes I'm impressed, those cells are lower than a dachshund's dangly bits, I wish I had thought of doing it like that.
Is that the original chassis, cut up, bent and de-anodized or scratch made from sheet?
How did you get the bends on the front back and sides?

I read the original post, cad/cam would be a good way to get the holes in the right places for both modifying or scratching, the metal you used and the original chassis are both 7075, it was ambiguous enough for me to seek clarification.

I didnt realise it wasnt extended at all, looks longer somehow. That is some very nice design work & skillful translation of said designs into the finished article. Shame the weathers gone to poop again- 2 weeks of sunshine now its just cold/damp/drizzly....
