Well, I'm not cool with doing that. I think I'll try pulling the red wire first. Just to make sure . . . I pull the red wire coming from the ESC that goes into the external BEC, right? As shown in the photo.

Actually, if the SportBEC is anything like the ParkBEC, the red wire is already disconnected in the BEC circuit board. But yeah, you just remove the red wire from that plug. I usually pull the connector out of the plug, fold the red wire back against the other wires, and heatshrink them together.

Hmmm, weird. Seems odd to just have the brown and orange wire from the MM ESC going into the BEC. Oh well, I'm no electrical wizard! :005:

Well, the brown is the signal and the black is ground. Normally, the red wire carries wire from the receiver to the throttle servo, but in electrics, the power comes from the ESC.

Cool. Well, I just pulled it out and insulated it. I'll give it a test when my battery is done charging. Thanks for the help guys - I'll keep you posted on the results.

Sport BEC should be same as Park BEC, no need to remove any wires from ESC plug.

Well, that's good and bad I guess. If that's not the problem, then I wonder what is? I wonder if it's any noise causing the problem. Check out the attached photo of where everything is and let me know what you guys think.

I would definitely try to get all low signal wires (antenna, servo wires) away from those motor wires. High current AC can emit a substantial amount of noise.

Instead of moving it, do you think I could encapsulate it in a small plastic box? Like a mini reciever box?

Plastic doesn't shield very well. You'd have better results wrapping it in tinfoil and tying the tinfoil to a ground wire.

Do you have an aluminum antenna mount mounted to the chassis. If you do, that can cause interferance too.

Ok, I think I got it taken care of. I relocated the BEC and the wires to be as far away from the motor as possible. I didn't notice any trouble with it today when I ran it. I will run it for a longer and harder stint tomorrow, so that will be the real test. I'll let you guys know how it works out. Thanks for all the input!!
