The PERFECT motor for the new 160A 16S ESC in a E-Bike hehe! Well, 300A 16S would be a little safer actually... |
Last year, I was asking for 30S 500 A controllers for our FSAE car http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...t=17955&page=2 Castle didn't have any, so we had to go with Kelly.
The max motor current is 500 A per motor and there's one motor for each rear wheel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deck4wA1gRQ If Castle is making an 80S 150 A controller, we'll consider it for our next car. Regards, Thomas |
If you tires aren't squeeling, you ain't driving hard enough. :)
Nice video and car though! Drove a lot of the MRT5 (McGill's FSAE car from a few years ago; gas powered) via sim (www.liveforspeed.net). Quite a fun little car to drive. |
Any updates...?

interesting i should find the thread. i have been looking for large esc/motors for a electric go-kart project. come on castle, make is 20s capable:intello:

I would really like to see a 20S ESC :) |

Sorry, still in the testing phase...
This is a big project, and will take a while. At SHV voltages, safety is a big concern. Thanx! Patrick |
Can you give some info about the "low cost MMM" as mentioned on some other forum?

Wow!
The demand for high voltage is still growing. Why couldn't castle had been around when I had the money to put into these? |

22A no load current is horrible. There is something wrong with the magnetic design of that motor. A motor of that size and kV should have a no-load current of around 1.5A or 2A... not 22A. 1KW of loss to eddy and hysteresis loss is just terrible. |
Lets Just hope its 2.2... ;) But Seriously, any news you can shed on on this controller or and motors involved? I certainly would buy CC over (ed) HK anyday...
I need to power a E-Dirtboard. And rather use In-runner Via Chain/Sprocket. Maybe the MMMXL isnt enough... Although I have been thinking....:yipi: Thank You!! |
