As far as I know, the Mamba Max motor has an "S" size motor can.

Finally a company with a brain. 3500kv brushless made to run on 2 and 3 cell. Castle can stick their 4600~7700kv motors up.......I mean.... in someone else's truck.

I think I'm seeing double - Did Traxxas steal my Rustler back and clone it for a production vehicle?

Thanks Man! I'll e-mail Mike before I spend money just to be 100% sure. I'm so excited. This will be my first BL, my Maxx to follow later.

That cracked me up!

I agree. 4600 Kv as a starting point is pretty high and 7700 in nuts unless your one of the guys racing 4 or 5 cell touring cars.

DickyT 05.31.2007 01:15 PM

I think I'm going to get the 5700 instead. I am far to hard on my truck for the beyond high kv 7700. I'll lose some speed as i have nimh, but I'm just a basher. it will be fine! I get my bonus check next Friday!

Good choice. IMHO the 7700 would have been a BIG mistake,

Without ever trying I'll agree. I do alot of start/stop driving and have a tendancy to not be very smooth on the throttle. The Rusty lives 90% on road, but the 10% off road i do with it is very hard on the truck and would eat the 7700. Plus I can run 12 cells for speed runs and go 3s lipo when I move!

I've change my wishlist, now I just need the check so my wife will let me spend some $$$

thanks everyone for you input. i'm sure I'll have more ?'s after it's in my hands. this is my 1st BL and I know I'll have castle link ?'s
