The fastLane arms are tough as nails as well, and they offer a great replacement warranty, but they are definately heavier than stock.

the idea is to be as light as possible and as strong as possible. the racer x is out of the question not due to price but due to weight. i have a 8 1/2 lbs. truck and wanna keep it that way. i think as the stock arms break i might go with proline because they are alot stronger. i was just looking at that because i think it might be a little lighter as well as stronger because it illiminates so many parts.

HAHA your funny. You will gain 1/8th a lb with racer x. I don't know about you but I wouldn't be able to notice a difference from 8 1/2 lbs to 8 5/8th lbs. Your not going to be able to shave any weight from stock. You can only gain strength from stock too and with strength comes weight. I just bought some dace single shock arms those are supposed to be light. I will tell you on wednesday or thursday what the weight difference is from stock to dace. I'm assuming lighter if not the same.

The racerx is probably the same weight or even less than the proline suspension. I think the racer x is within 2-3 ounces of the stock suspension. Adding the racer x shocks (and eliminating the 8 stock type shocks) would probably make it nearly identical in weight to the stock parts. The G-maxx suspension without the levers is lighter than the stock suspension.

squeeforever 06.19.2005 09:20 PM

what about with 4 levers?

RC-Monster Mike 06.19.2005 09:24 PM

Still lighter than stock.

With the complete g-maxx suspension, they claim its only 4 gramms heavier than stock. Now that IS impressive..

I have the TTR arms they work fine but where the shock mounts could use some work. They also weigh about the same as stock with TI trunbuckles. The Dace single shock arms weigh 1 ounce more than a set(8 arms) than UE EXT. arms.

Thank you,
Promod

Really? I figured they would be much ligther than the EXT since they are made of 6061 and don't have a lot of material to them.

TTR? Maybe I am just tired, but I can't put this abreviation together!

I thought to ignore this, and make followup posts clear this mistery, but i am glad i am not alone in MisteryLand

google brought up
Toy trunk railroad
Telsa Technology Research
Transport & Travel Research LTD.

I don't think its any of those, but there is a buggy call the TTR S3 made by Thunder Tiger.

squeeforever 06.20.2005 08:49 PM

thunder tiger racing?

Promod 06.20.2005 10:22 PM

Come on guys, the link is on the first page of this thread. TRUE TRACK REAR suspension!!!!! TTR suspension is what it was called when I bought it some time ago. Mine are the plastic ones.

I have no Idea as to why the Dace single shock arms weigh more.

Thank you,
Promod

RC-Monster Mike 06.20.2005 10:31 PM

I don't know why I didn't put that together! I actually re-read the post, but did not click the link, so it escaped me! Now it makes sense.
