I Wish back in the days when or I should of bought that UE Chassis
when it was on sale a long long time ago on their Site.
You have a Nice Chassis!

ClodMaxx 09.05.2007 04:04 PM

thanks romster. =)

do you remember what the sale price was at that time? i see on UE's old site that the chassis kit i have (stage 3) was $399.99. i tried to find out just how many of these were produced, but robin is very tight-lipped about that kind of thing. i have to imagine it would be in the hundreds vs. thousands, at that price.

Quick question while we are talking about Unlimited Engineering. Will the monoblock work with a fastlane chassis?

ClodMaxx 09.05.2007 04:56 PM

i don't see why not. the monobloc attaches the same way standard maxx bulks attach to the chassis. you'll need to get a custom driveshaft made, and i'm not sure if you'll need the same length as the lightning w/monobloc (the trans may not attach in the same spot on each chassis which could vary the driveshaft length).

RCShocker 09.05.2007 05:33 PM

That's just SICK !!!

It look's like something that should be behind glass or in a museum.

And everytime I see that custom rear driveshaft I am amazed.

That's one incredible truck you built there Scott. Those VBS-T's really are cream of the crop. They look indestructible.

Wow, after you build something that spectacular is has to be all downhill from there. Well maybe not downhill, Crawl Style......lol.

ClodMaxx 09.05.2007 07:06 PM

thanks doug. it certainly was an addiction trying to get the last few parts. now that it's done and my 'conquest' to build a complete SM is over, i almost feel disappointed, lol. but now once i get it built, i can enjoy driving it!

E-Maxx King 09.05.2007 07:23 PM

I guess youll be using a LMT 1940/7? Your sig.. Will it pull all that metal? 12lbs?

ClodMaxx 09.05.2007 07:24 PM

...and then some.

E-Maxx King 09.05.2007 08:49 PM

i the lmt 1940 really that strong?

ClodMaxx 09.05.2007 10:56 PM

let's just say i don't think i'll be hurting for lack of power, and i'm not overly concerned about excess weight. =)

Romster 09.05.2007 11:40 PM

ClodMaxx.
I am pretty sure it was $250 or $300 for chassis.
Man!!! I should of, just Bought it.

Procharged5.0 09.06.2007 10:38 AM

We all suffer from that. I had a chance to buy a UE Razorback a few months ago. My wife freaked out when I suggested dropping $1500 on another RC. ($1500 for a complete, near mint condition Razorback is a steal!)

Oh Well..............life goes on.........

ClodMaxx 09.06.2007 12:46 PM

life does go on. very true. there's probably a chance that another RB may cross your path someday...

Romster 09.06.2007 08:51 PM

The RAZOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I saw that also. Nice!!!!!!!!! I don't think anybody won that.
Yo! procharge5.0 I am from IL also. Do you go to Leisure raceway?

Nick 09.07.2007 02:26 PM

I have a UE Lightning chassis too, you'll never see one of those for sale again, lol.

Great looking truck man.
