I was trying to do this, but I realized that the drill bits I have are not hard enough to drill through it... Are there any hardened drill bits that you would recommend for drilling through the shaft(s)?

If you need drill bits, you can order bits from Mc Master Carr, harbor frieght or someother if your LHS (local hardware :) )doesn't have a good selection.

MMC has a very good and detailed selection menu where it details the diff bits for the diff apps. They have fractional sizes, number ga sizes, metric, etc.

Darn Finnster, I was looking forward to your comparison of the transmission's

You are NOT running the E-Maxx tranny the second time around on your Revo, are you?

Wow. You guys must drive a lot harder than I do. I have a Neu 1515/2.5D in mine with the stock Revo tranny and I run it with 8S1P A123s, and it must be a ticking time bomb because I haven't broken anything yet. I do make sure the slipper is allowed to slip a little, well, otherwise it would spend too much time on it's lid anyway.
