Watch out for battery trays like this in Mikes' store. He will make them in all the most common sizes.

Where did you buy the fan? Sorry for all the questions LOL.

No problem. I get them from a swiss mailorder place for electronic stuff.
I will find out the manufacturer and item number for you, I'm sure you can get them in the states too... maybe they are even made there? Stay tuned, I'll post the info here. Those fans are really good, and you can have them in 12V or 5V.

Nice looking XT8, looks clean.... BUT...

Nice looking stuff not looks like it practical specialy on OFFROAD CAR. ESC leads welding and PCB is naked no protection from SAND/MUD/Water! Same with RX that place where is it is extremely dirty

I beat my CARs so hard as I can, because they made for that! for me briliant clean looking not so important. So i think that you need to Merge practical and good lookings.
Yesterday i was been on track and and start raining a litle bit. I didnt abort my race and finished first but car is full of mud and wet sand.

BTW XRay is realy good Model car its realy tough. I got most amazing crash pize. With full speed i hit the metal bracket what holds track plastic pipes that came out after 1/6 race. My care flew stright to up about 8.2 feets with extremly fast rotating (Saltos) like propeller :) and landed on tires and continued to the end of race. Damage is: bent front left shock shaft, destoyed first bumper, left lower arm is with extremly deep scratch and front left upper arm turbuckle was bent also.

I have no intention of running it through a puddle.
And running it on watered tracks seems to be no problem, the mudguards and the body do a good job.

You beat yout trucks as hard as you can? I have bashers for that. Racing, I try to stay on the wheels.

Daf im the same way. If the track is wet my cars dont go on the track :lol:.

Daf, Glad to hear you got the problem that caused your pinion to snap figured out. It realy sucked that you couldnt race in the main at the bash. But, you did make up for it with the buggy at the battery blast the next day.:wink: I guess the first time you take a newly built conversion out to the track is when you find any weak spots. Its all part of building something thats not just off the shelf!

That is for sure a sweet ride, but based on the rest of your trucks they always turn out very clean neat and efficient.

I don't know if you guys questioning Dafs setup for being "to clean" are farmiliar with Daf, but his trucks are no shelf queens. They are made to race, and race well they do.:yes:

Lutach, I found the manufacturer of those fans. They are made by Micronel. If you find an US supplier, look for their 25mm line.


Gallagher, those are TSAIS boots. But the ones Mailman suggested look better and are less expensive.

Anyone who doesn't like daf's clean rides should check out the cars that the factory pro drivers run at a big time race. They are super clean and tidy, almost like they have too much time on their hands, lol.

I like to make/keep mine that way but often just get it close and call it good. heck, most of my cars still have dirt on them from the last race. :cry: Sometimes I'm way too busy for this hobby. :grrrrrr:

These conversions are AWESOME. I love how at first glance it doesn't even look like all the "guts" are there. But then... yep... rx, yep...esc,.... everything's there.:yipi:
