Of course I do, but I can't say it here. :mdr:

I don't really think you need a heatsink, or fans for that matter, on a Lehner.

EDIT: Oh, on a lehner then get two of those heatsink & fan jobbies, no need for the clamp.

Are you sure they are that big ?. i think they maybe the smaller 25mm by 25mm or maybe the 30mm by 30mm fan.

Squee im sure i dont need a heat sink or fans either. but for what they cost it's cheap insurance.

I typed 40mm for some reason (it was 2am at the time), but they are actually 25mmx25mm, I had heatsinks exactly the same from 3racing- I still got a couple of the fans and they are the same size.

I think Brian must have had an 'incident' involving a fan when he was a child, hence why he hates them so much....

I have one of the single ones. They are junk. The thin aluminum bends easy. The fans are cheap and break.

Actually, by looking at the fins on the fans, they are 25x25mm or 30x30

  Not at all. I just think using fans is a way to compensate for undersized/overworked components. Plus, it adds wiring complexity and weight (albeit not much). I just feel a properly designed system shouldn't need them. All of my systems, except maybe the XL motor on my Revo, and the undersized 4600 on my CRT.5, run perfectly fine without fans while maintaining temps in the 130's.

Even with the quark?

BrianG 11.01.2007 05:20 PM

Even with a Quark. Both of mine have the internal mod done with a little extra heatsinking and they run perfectly fine, even to my standards.
