Motor-to-ESC wiring isn't coordinated in any way. Hook the wires up, and if the motor spins in the wrong direction, swap two of the wires.

Are you using the 4mm gold connectors? Those could be the cause of your cogging. A guy I work with at the LHS would get awful cogging with a MM5700 on occasion, until he removed those 4mm gold connectors and soldered the motor/ESC wires together.

hey i get a bit of cogging on my setup, if removing the 4mm plugs fixes yours, i'll try it. glad to hear you finially got it to move on its own.

could be something to try, i did end up using the plugs on the mambamaxv(wires were about an inch to short to direct solder them to the motor. i got the motor spinning the right way and all. I dont think my cogging is terrible by any measure just annoying because im not used to not being able to punch it from a stand still and let her rip. I was playing wiht my throttle curves and it was getting a little bit better, 0-1/4 thorttle you had to be easy while 1/3-full throttle was balistic, thing was like a rocket from half throttle on up.

I have the starting power on high, punch control is on 20%, drag brake is on 20%, normal timing, as for my curve the first 1/3 is the start of an eliptical that from 1/3 throttle up is a flat line. would i see less cogging by going to more of a radius or the opposite. anyone have any examples of curves they like to share? How can i get the esc to feel smooth like a brushed setup for track use?

and btw i forgot to mention the mamba was getting pretty hot so i prolly wont run it longer than a minute at a time for testing. I wish that CC bec would get here.....
