I want a big truggy so bad, I love my .5, and I can only imagine how fun a CRT on 5s with a NEU is lol

nice truggy sweet setup i was debating between 5s and 6s for my 8ight-t and 5s looks like it does the job

5S is more than I can control...I have a Maxx that runs 6S and it is insane.

5s on a 1515 1.5D with 18/46 gearing....you crazy man!
The CRT uses 43/10 truggy gears doesn't it?
How much throttle were you using, because I put your setup into the calculator (with 43/10 diff ratio) and it says your geared for a theoretical top speed of close to 80mph! It looked like it still got of the line pretty quick, so it would be interesting to see what speed it could actually reach.

Those mail boxes you guys have in America look scary. In my part of Australia you never see mail boxes any closer than about 3m (~10ft) from the edge of the road, usually even a bit further. There's still wheelie bins once a week though. Don't let other people drive your brushless mini-t on bin day.

I was barely on the trigger! I will probably go down a few teeth on the pinion as it was cogging a little. Diff gears are 43/13 same as the buggy!

And yes the mailboxes do scare me too! This is West Virginia...and we are all hill billies here...most times the mailman will just drive up in the yard or throw our mail to us as we are drinking beer on the front porch! But seriously...back when I was into 1/10 scale stadium trucks, I hit one going abot 60mph...instant taco. Parts blew eveywhere....it was a fine waste of a Losi XXX-T MF2 kit.

Buggy gears?! That would mean your geared for around 100mph! You have to get a speed run video of that.
Even if you go all the way down to a 12t pinion your still geared for mid to high 60's, which looks fast enough in that street. Should be able to break mail boxes with a CRT at that speed.

I don't see it going that fast. I think that speed calculator maybe a little off..but no doubt this truck would take yer damn leg off if it hit you!

I know it won't actually reach 100 obviously, but it's still around the speed your wheels would reach if you held it in the air. I'd like to see what it could actually reach on the ground.
The top speed you could get out of that setup would probably be with smaller pinion than 18t, because it would take some load of everything and let the motor get to full rpm.

Just entered the numbers of your setup in the top speed estimator and also got 100mph. I'm speechless.

This thing must suck a lot of juice when accelerating ... watch out for your flightpower pack. This must be really tough for your pack. If you keep it that way you might degrade it's lifespan very fast.

what flightpower pack did you run it with in your video?

Use 4S lipos. I know from experience, those kinds of speed will break things pretty fast.
