Anyway for Xmas I have been checking out the XTM MMT by Global Hobbies. For the money I think I may have to try one of them out. It is big, but very well built and nimble for its size, and I will work on converting it to an electric Monster. I have already given my wife and family copies of several items off the internet that I want/need:whistle:. The Quark 125B, the MGM 160 amp ESC, 4.5 HV Maxx system, some Fuiego and Neu motors, and a slew of UE and FLM parts to help with my collection of 4 Maxx trucks. So we will see what shows up on Christmas day:party:.

I am working on having a collection of cool trucks to race and for the family to bash on Holidays at our place in NC when we retire. I have plans on building a backyard track for something to do in my retirement days. Hopefully in 2012, Not soon enough of course, but there are plenty of Christmases between now and then:lol:.

Sounds like a great idea...but ya know the Myan Indians believed that its all going to end in 2012:lol: Just ask ZeroPoint.

DrKnow65 11.24.2007 03:18 PM

12/12/2012 to be exact (ZPB do I have that right?) IIRC there are 4 events that mark the end of the Myan calander that are not found written anywhere else in what we have from them... freeeekkkkyyyy hehehe

I personally am a Christian and go with what Christ said "it is not for man to know the times the Father has apointed" and "the end will come like a theif in the night" that kind of thing. I must say however that my parents thought it nwould be in their time and so did my grand parents (cold war, nukes, that stuff) Anyone go with the Atomic Clock thinking?

Suppose a sweet christmas gift would be a few more people saved before the end :) or a few more years to enjoy my toys :)

JERRY2KONE 11.24.2007 04:51 PM

Good Point.

I'm with you. If the end does come during my lifetime I will only wish that I am asleep, and most of all that it may be some time after I have lived a full life (say 90 or100 years old):intello:. No matter what the end is, or when it may come I am going to enjoy the life that I have left to the fullest extent that is humanly possible. I have seen much pain and suffering in my lifetime, and it took a long time for me to feel like I am finally free:yipi:. No debt, nobody holding me back, and no contracts which prevent me from doing what I want to do:na:. I am not rich by any means $$$$ wise, but my life is full, and everything is coming into play just the way that I have always hoped that it would:party:.

So believe what you will about who, what, where, and why. Myans, Jews, Christians, Muslems, or whatever. We are all just HUMAN beings. War is all about jealousy:diablo:. "I want what you have", and I doubt that this will ever change in the human existance. I for one am going to have some fun while I am still able to. My christmas list is growing every day, both in materialistic wise and for wishes of happiness for those that I love. My wife tells me that in reference to my list, I should know by now that I will probably get it all. Maybe not all at one time, but that I will be happy. That is all that I need to know. Life is good, but you have to find your own happiness in this world. I pray that we all find ours without hurting ourselves and/or each other along the way. Just be happy:mdr:. That is the only thing that really matters:lol:.

For the thread:

I would like to see our troops come home. If only those who are raised after generations of fighting would realize there is a better way.

Unfortunately, there is sometimes no alternative to fighting.

Do you really think the government is jacking up the price of gas $2 a gallon?

On a lighter note, I'm getting my 6-year-old daughters these boats for Christmas.

I agree with cart213...further....I don't see an alternative in this case. For Christmas, I want our troops to shoot straighter, jump higher, run faster, land flatter, and live longer than the enemy they are fighting. I want this because they want this-if you haven't been there its okay...we can't possibly expect you to understand. Rest easy, there are those very brave souls that will go forth and do the ugly things that keep us safe-God bless them and their families. I apologize to the masses that find this offensive, but it is my view...and probably the view of the majority of our troops and the families of our troops.

As for fuel prices...If we did not have a military presence in the Middle East, our gas would be $3+ per liter, which as you mathematicians well know, is a lot more than we currently pay per gallon.

Thanks for the help DrKnow65. I'll take a look at those welders you mentioned. My dad will only be doing small stuff... probably 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch, maybe more, maybe less.

I also forgot to mention that I would like some new tools as well.

That is a really nice machine for the price. For anything close to that in the big quality rigs you would easily pay thousands of $$$$$:diablo:. For that kind of money you would only have to turn out a few pieces of RC hop-up gear for it to have paid for itself:gasp:. Plus you can write it off as a business expense and later as a monitary loss. So it is totally worht the gamble. Plus I bet it would be a blast to play with making your own parts and customizing your own gear. Think of the possibiities???:yipi:

tashpop 11.25.2007 03:25 PM

i asked the wife for a nice soldering station, since my toys and their parts are a bit too specific for her to find on her own. after seeing that mill, i may throw that out for her. i can easily give her directions to harborfreight and that way i can have a gift under the tree instead of a gift card or budget.

Internet Add

Just print out exactly what you want from the internet adds, from the sites you want to do business with, and give them to her. If she shops on line for her girly stuff then she should be able to order them just like you would. With a copy of exactly what it is that you want anyone can do it. I ran off adds with photos, item #'s, and prices to make it easy. That way there is not questions about which one, or how many. She knows exactly what I would buy for myself. If the item is not in stock, then move on to the next item. Easy peezy Japaneasey.

BL_RV0 11.25.2007 04:51 PM

yea, i plan to start a little biz with my little mill
any ideas for stuff to make?

Serum 11.25.2007 05:15 PM

yeah, don't buy one if this is for real.. What to do with a mill i don't have..

Sounds a bit off to me.
