I love it. Simply amazing how it pulls through deep and loose snow. Can't be with stock motor. Mamba 4600? What batteries are you using? Any snow inside the chasis after such a run through deep snow? How well does it cope with brushless? Any additional wear (diff, plastic spur) so far? Any weak spots which needs reinforcing? I guess the stock diff gears are made of plastic not steel? Any troubles with motor temperature since it seems to be a closed chassis?

I saw one with nitro motor but i remember it beeing way slower than yours.

I should get one myself and replace the stock motor with a mild brushless system.

Yep, mamba 4600. Just a couple 6-cell packs, a Duratrax 4200mah & a Racers Edge 3600mah, they do ok.

So far everything is handling the brushless just fine. Diff gears and spiders in diff are metal.

I have only seen motor temps around the 100 degree range, but it is only like 30 degrees or less outside lately here also.

Are you running it on 12 cells or do you mean you ran through 2 different packs?

jimbiss 01.28.2008 12:48 AM

I am only run 6 cells at a time. 12 cells would be way too much

Do you think a 5700 with 7-cells would work. I'm looking at these but would like it to be super fast like 30 in the snow. Is it possible?

What size pinion gear does it have? Does it have an adjustable motor mount?
