Sounds like a good setup, either way. My Emaxx will stay stock until I can finish the other conversions I have sitting around. Going to convert a Losi aftershock and use an 1100kv kb45 inrunner on 9s lipo thru a hv85 esc. Stock tranny and 2 speed so it should be plenty fast!

The new style Transmission mounts different. It mounts to the underside of the chassis instead of going through the frame rails. 4 Bolts is all it has compared to 8 mounting bolts with the old style. If you want to upgrade an older maxx, get the Chassis and the frame rails to go with the transmission. |

In the E Revo, the new Quark 125 amp ESC did pretty good on 6S. I added one of the Novak Caps to it's power lead. Temps weren't bad at all and it was hauling Arse! :lol: I wonder if the Quarks that died were from lack of additional heat sink? Or perhaps FET/heat sink separation that's been discussed in earlier threads? |
