Thanks, I have a sidewinder comming to my door for 67 bucks, including shipping!

JeffEmbracedDC 01.21.2008 11:41 PM

I'd get one... but I don't really have a use for one :( But I want one anyway!

Is that weird?

lincpimp 01.21.2008 11:45 PM

Also, looking at the sidewinders manual it has a 12v lipo cutoff. I guess that it will run 4s, with the bec disabled. Most likely good for lighter vehicles, like a crt.5 with a lower kv motor. Killer deal, pair this with a feigao 12s and it would be a killer combo for less than 120 bucks. Maybe a 2100 4s lipo? sounds like a good light weight setup to me. 600 watts is pretty good fro the price.

I'd get it just to find something......On road TC car, offroad buggy, 4wd buggy, EP motorcycle, lots of possible projects. There's simply no other BL ESC in this price range, with all the features. Mine is going in a EP offroad buggy.

Here's a secret......ssshhhhh dont tell, want to buy a castle sidewinder for $62? Use Tower Hobbies discount code 010NP at checkout. It works 90% of the time, and I ordered one over the weekend using this code. Its a special $15 off of a $75 order. I found this lovely web sight with all kinds of discount codes for retailers. :yipi:

Worked! :yipi: Thanks! Mines going in my RC18. Cheaper than a Mamba 25.

Wonder how long it will take Tower to ax this code, better use it quick fellas!

JeffEmbracedDC 01.22.2008 12:02 AM

Should I get one? :oh: :oh:

Bahh this is tearing me apart!

Team X 01.22.2008 12:11 AM

Just orderd one!!!

lincpimp 01.22.2008 12:13 AM

Mine will go in the redcat with the direct to diff outrunner setup. I plan to run taller tires and 4s lipo, so we will see how it can handle a good startup load!

generalg 01.22.2008 12:18 AM

mmmm to order one or not.

ah... might as well. Got a 4600 just waiting of it.

Do you think this would be a good set up for a Rustler?

You will need a all metal tranny in that rustler. I can safely say that a rustler setup like that would be badass!

Check this out:

Differential Ratio: 1
Transmission Ratio: 2.727272727272727
Spur Tooth Count: 54
Pinion Tooth Count: 18
Total Voltage: 14.8
Motor KV: 2958
Tire Diameter (inches): 3.8
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 3 : 1
Total Ratio: 8.18182 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 11.94 inches (303.23mm)
Total Motor Speed: 43778.4 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 60.49 MPH

It would be nice to find a 2500 kv motor, in a s can, maybe a lehner basic 2400?
