Batfish 08.21.2005 07:53 PM

I've got about 8.5 minutes of video on the E-Revo. Once I get it finished and run it by Mike, we'll get it posted.

RC-Monster Mike 08.21.2005 07:54 PM

Yes, the CF battery tray will work. there will also be a CF version(except the skids) of the whole conversion.

starscream 08.21.2005 08:25 PM

Wow, I can't wait to see more video.
Whats the weight of that bad boy, rtr with the lipo's?
What are you thoughts of the Lipo's being exposed from the bottom plate?

More importantly, when will the conversion kit be available?
It's simply the nicest e-revo conversion ever...

RC-Monster Mike 08.21.2005 08:33 PM

No troubles so far with the Lipos. I run them in the g-maxx also(batts a little lower) with no issues so far. RTR with 5s Lipo it weighs a touch over 9 pounds.
Should be available soon. I don't have an exact date yet, though

crazyjr 08.21.2005 09:38 PM

Thanks Mike. thats what i like about this forum you ask a question, get an answer within the day.

coolhandcountry 08.21.2005 09:51 PM

That must be one of your heavier trucks mike. I like the sound of lipo. Just don't like the price. Not for bashing around the house.

RC-Monster Mike 08.21.2005 10:07 PM

similar weight to my race maxx, though not much shiney aluminum yet!

nitrostarter 08.21.2005 10:29 PM

I love the acceleration. I have to go BL.

Shadow350Z 08.23.2005 04:11 AM

cant wait till batfish post that vid i wanna see that sweet thing in action

Re~Mix 08.23.2005 10:56 AM

Wow, I think I might have to sell my xxx-t to pick up a revo seriously. Or, maybe I can get the MGM 80 to work with the Lehner 2400xl like you said it should :) . Man, time to go crunch numbers, and see what this would cost me.

RC-Monster Mike 08.23.2005 05:16 PM

The 80 amp MGM would work well wioth the xl2800 as well. The performance of the xl2800 on 12 cells is quite nice, actually.

Batfish 08.23.2005 06:06 PM

Mike told me that he liked it enough to watch it 4 times while I chatted with him the other night, so I'm sure he's ready for others to take a look now :)

http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=63527

It's just under 20MB, but also over 8 min of the E-Revo running qualifiers.

Dafni 08.23.2005 06:09 PM

Thanks for sharing, Joe and Mike.

My trophy goes to Mike!! How you passed the field in this first take-off.....awesome! Too bad about your bad luck.
Nevertheless, many more races to come. EMaxx crowd better beware!

And another BIG troghy goes to Joe for this absolutely amazing camera job! Well done. Must have been be hard to keep up with him.

crazyjr 08.23.2005 06:36 PM

I saw this video last night(sorry batfish, i was on rcpics site and found it) Hey Mike, you said in an earlier post "I was not one with the truck that day" If you were not one with the truck, then i'm not even in the same time zone with my trucks, and i thought i was decent. Now that i've seen it i want it even more. thanks for showing this batfish and mike:cool: :)

gixxer 08.23.2005 07:07 PM

great video, wish I could of stayed long enough that day to actually see the e-maxxes though. makes me want to put away my xxx-t and take out the maxx for a few since it hasn't seen much use lately.

Shadow350Z 08.23.2005 08:08 PM

omg omg omg i wanna have a rolling chassis revo right now and wait for that conver!!!!!

RC-Monster Mike 08.23.2005 08:10 PM

The truck itself was dialed-I just couldn't find the controller settings to make me happy, so I was struggling with the throttle control. I am usually nearly flawless with my e-maxx and the e-revo was just as dialed. Of course Joe is an excellent photographer, so he made me look good!

Shadow350Z 08.23.2005 08:17 PM

hey Mike how much would it cost for me jus to get front parts and rear parts of the revo all in all??
including screws and stuff
cuz this video make me wanna get a revo and get your convo when it comes out

RC-Monster Mike 08.23.2005 08:22 PM

Probably could get the complete front and rear for around $175 ish, including the shocks, bumpers, bulks etc(eveything but the chassis). I know a roller can be had for around $225(which includes the chassis)

crazyjr 08.23.2005 09:43 PM

Roller? You mean everything but radio, motor, controler and battery packs.

RC-Monster Mike 08.23.2005 10:09 PM

Roller = complete front/rear and chassis-still would need the tranny and drive shafts, along with a body and wheels/tires.

crazyjr 08.24.2005 12:17 AM

So you mean we provide everything but the chassis

Shadow350Z 08.24.2005 12:19 AM

should i go Revo or stick with and upgrade my Emaxx??

RC-Monster Mike 08.24.2005 08:00 PM

either way would be fine. My E-Revo won't replace my e-maxx-just another truck in the fleet!

Shadow350Z 08.24.2005 08:08 PM

well.. I have no money to have RCs like you guys

RC-Monster Mike 08.24.2005 08:55 PM

I don't have any money, either. Just lots of r/cs! :)

Shadow350Z 08.24.2005 09:55 PM

hey Mike jus a heads up ima ask my dad for that G2 chassis 2night =)
its gonna be my first ever Aluminum Part
hopefully....

coolhandcountry 08.24.2005 09:58 PM

I have to many hobbies to have money either. I have a need for speed. Whether i drive it or ride in it. It all takes money.

Shadow350Z 08.24.2005 10:02 PM

yeah
now i have to get MIP center CVDs for my E since the the stock ones snapped in half
another 50$$ outa my wallet

coolhandcountry 08.24.2005 10:05 PM

I hate it when that happens. I wish they could make the plastic stronger some how. I like the plastic in some ways. Just don't like that they are not strong enough.

Shadow350Z 08.24.2005 10:13 PM

2wd sucks
the brake are half powered since only the back spins
not the front
and theres absolutely no traction

oh yeah will the XTM dust boots fit the MIP??
XTM dust Boot Black

MetalMan 08.24.2005 11:08 PM

If they don't, zip ties should do a fairly decent job of holding them on (assuming that the MIP's are smaller in diamter for the areas that the boots mount to).

Good video.

I love to race... and have watched it a few times myself...while at work...daydreaming about racing this weekend! :D

Btw, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera and editing software are you using Batfish?

Shadow350Z 08.26.2005 01:22 AM

that vid amazes me everytime i watch it
man i wish i have a revo

I use a normal consumer camcorder (Sony TRV-140) and generally edit using Windows Movie Maker.

Sweet! Your video's turn out great...and I'm itchin' to film and edit stuff.

squeeforever 08.27.2005 11:48 PM

about how much is the conversion gonna cost?

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 01:53 AM

yeah was gonna ask about that
Mike should sell this as a full RTR kit =)
would be nice
alot people would buy it especially eletrio lovers

RC-Monster Mike 08.28.2005 10:06 AM

The conversion will be around the same price as the Limited edition g-maxxes. I do plan on stocking all the needed items to offer a complete package (front, rear, tranny, drive shafts and of course BRUSHLESS!).

coolhandcountry 08.28.2005 11:24 AM

Can't leave out the brushless part there mike. That is the good stuff.
