yes but how do you address the actual metal axle end of the shaft so it hooks up to the output of the dif or tranny? (the yoke end)

yup i just cut it were it was glued, you do have to shorten it about a 1/2 inch for the ends i used the yokes from the old revo shafts and diffs, the tranny side i just cut the pins off and i had to shave the edges back on the output shafts on the tranny

ahhh yes got it.......

thanks guys I may be on the road sooner than I thought.......let me see if I can go heat up some Velinion parts...LOL

I'll video the smoke

big greg 05.03.2008 01:11 PM

mmmm burn plastic gonna love it, dunno if you had an axle apart yet, but the slines only line up well in like one spot, make sure you note that

yes sir modded a few center shafts but never a axle shaft...yes I notice when sliding shafts together sometime there so tite but keep turning and find the nice slide.....thanks for the heads up

ya that plastic slag burns too

big greg 05.03.2008 01:29 PM

yea dont touch it lol, or stick your tongue on it!

bustitup 05.03.2008 04:45 PM

Well that went pretty smooth....looks pretty bullet proof too

Big Greg you made my day....i had thought of that but didnt research enough to see how easy it was to trnsfer the yoke

I had to take about 1 1/4" off the female end and about 1/2 " off the male end and then like you said dremel a little off the inside of the yokes to get it to slide deep enough on to the tranny output shaft but it worked like a dream

yep glad i helped out for a change usually the one needing it lol, yea about every jump i kept breaking fronts until i did this, i dont think it will be a problem now, i did shave a little off my chassis but my tranny is about 1/8" off to the side, again glad i helped get a vid up!
