I got the pictures from mike last night.
does anyone know some specs?
weight etc?

RC-Monster Mike 12.01.2005 01:35 AM

Those pics are the final version, Coolhand. I just got the pics. I weighed the chassis, but I forgot the weight! I think it was around 10oz(about 2 or 3 oz heavier than the g-maxx aluminum chassis for comparison).

Basketti 12.01.2005 06:40 AM

So you'll have the chassis in soon mike?

RC-Monster Mike 12.01.2005 11:03 PM

YOU will have the chassis soon, my friend!

Serum 12.02.2005 02:11 AM

Still no picture of the battery holders though? is it velcro?

rhylsadar 12.02.2005 05:31 AM

hi
for the battery holders i had a idea some time ago. the battery holders of the bigscale FG cars might fit very well as holders on a e maxx chassis (gmaxx, FLM etc). there are to sizes. long (about 23cm) and a shorter one (around 19cm). they might be shortened if needed. the fg part number is 05014/6 (short) and 05014/7(long). they are from durable plastic.
a colleague of mine tried it with the shorter ones on a gmaxx chassis and his first response was very positive.
just as a suggestion.
bye
rhylsadar

here you see a pic. in the middle.

Serum 12.02.2005 01:33 PM

Cool info Rhylsader, i thought those FLM frames came with the batteriestraps/holders though..

I saw some coolest carbon fibre U-profile on e-bay. he's from Austria, just search on ebay for 'Carbon/Kohlefaser Akkuschalen'

mmdooley 12.03.2005 03:22 AM

My chassis should be in early this week. I will post pic's as soon as I get it.

The chassis comes with velcro, but these will be available soon:

coolhandcountry 12.03.2005 07:28 PM

hey that is sweet looking

That would be awesome on the chassis

RC-Monster Mike 12.03.2005 07:46 PM

Working on making these universal to fit the g-maxx chassis as well as the FLM chassis.

Nick 12.03.2005 08:02 PM

I'm intrested, I have a Gorilla at the moment, this looks nice.

Will it fit 3800s? Larger NIMH cells well? How thick is it? Looks nearly 10mm!

Also, whats the ground clearence like, compared to the stock, if that is possible to measure?

Thanks.

crazyjr 12.04.2005 04:39 PM

nice chassis you been working on there Mike

mmdooley 12.05.2005 07:17 PM

How much $$$ are these going yo be Mike???

Basketti 12.05.2005 11:16 PM

are the velcro ones good? or would these be better?

coolhandcountry 12.06.2005 09:00 AM

I would guess the aluminum ones since i have busted a velcro straps.

Nick 12.07.2005 01:30 PM

I lost faith here: http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...=&threadid=612

I need to get me a chassis to lay my cells flat with something made of metal to hold them down. ;)

When will Mike get these in stock? The price is brilliant, for what you get - any way of extending them, or is it already longer than stock?

jocktheglide 12.09.2005 05:36 AM

I like that price man.....
just read the whole thread this chassis looks sweet and I cant get over the price its not just some clunky chassis either. I gotta get one....

rhylsadar 12.09.2005 08:47 AM

hi
what i do not like about those straps and also about those new battery holders shown above is, that they have no side wall for fixing the battery to the sides.
that is one thing i like about those fg holders i linked above. they hold the battery much better with their side"claws". :)
bye
rhylsadar

captain harlock 12.09.2005 09:33 AM

I agree, side holders would make it even much better.

Sneeck 12.09.2005 01:28 PM

coolhandcountry 12.09.2005 11:12 PM

Basketti 12.10.2005 04:12 AM

jocktheglide 12.10.2005 04:20 AM

Serum 12.10.2005 04:27 AM

HB maxx 12.10.2005 06:24 AM

Looks very nice.
I will get mine in a few days

jocktheglide 12.10.2005 06:36 AM

where da straps at?

coolhandcountry 12.10.2005 08:53 AM

I don't have the final version. I have a version 2 not the version 3. I got mine from mike. I told him it didn't matter on the version. So he hooked me up with some pics and I like it. Mike hooked me right up. So the ones that come out after is not the same chassis it will be a little different. The battery holders was cut a little deeper on the v3. I may have to get some batt cups for this one.

jocktheglide 12.10.2005 09:09 AM

oh ok cool then I probably get the V3 then man I think im gonna like this chassis its like in between the gorilla nd UE chassis.

coolhandcountry 12.10.2005 09:21 AM

I would say more like the ue. It is just under half the price. I am going to try to finish it up and test it this weekend. I can say that the chassis is very strong built. I could not flex the chassis before the braces was added. I got the truck put together some with no front skid and the front is strong like it has a skid. I don't want to run it like that but thought it showed the strength of the chassis.

For people looking to get this chassis. I can say there is no tube holder for you antenna. Just to give you peeps the heads up on this.

jocktheglide 12.10.2005 11:00 AM

no antenna holder ok thats the deal breaker im cancelling my order J\K ha ha....
