i have to have this truck driveable by The first for a little bash in the next town over... i just want something to drive :D

The new emaxx diffs seem to be alot stronger than the old ones. I pieced together a neew emaxx, bought the chassis, steering and diffs from sike as he was parting a few trucks.

I have run a hacker c50 14l on 5s and a plett maxx on 4s and have not had an issue yet with the diffs. I did not even shim them, just threw them in and started beating the snot out of the truck. Slipper settings will help the diffs. I like to be able to make the slipper slip a bit if I really force the truck to move on carpet while holding the spur still. That seems to be just the right setting for me...

ah ok, hey is the newer steering "that" much better then the old?

Ok how much do Bow ties Balloon? an estimate for brian g's calc..

does strapping the tires completely eliminate espansion?

GorillaMaxx360 07.10.2008 09:24 PM

Hey dont forget to buy the Rear turnbuckles  also the badlands ballon about a half an inch to 3/4 inch, they are great tires BTW.

brushlessboy16 07.10.2008 09:27 PM

Hmm, i had the rear turnbuckles on the wish list, what would be a good tire for hard packed sorta dry dirt?

its a bmx track all banked turns

GorillaMaxx360 07.10.2008 09:31 PM

I am not super familiar with racing treads but proline is defiantly a must IMHO. Though your racing based options consist of mainly different types of the hole shots, bow ties, and the crime fighters.

brushlessboy16 07.10.2008 09:32 PM

yeah i was looking at Bows

Strapping tape will defiantly reduce the ballooning by a good bit which gives more predictable handling but less speed. many on the site have had great success using different types of tape to reduce ballooning

ok new theory.. to save money (and that i dont have a job yet) "If it aint broke dont fix it"

and i add an addendum, "if you know ur gonna blow er' up fix it"
that pertains to the stock diffs and driveshafts...
Sooooo.

3905 diffs
3.3 shafts
Bow Ties and wheels
Wing mount
Wheelie bar
and some sort of body

what should i get?

George16 07.11.2008 12:12 AM

You will also need the steering knuckles. I have some driveshafts and turnbuckles from my old 3.3 tmaxx setup if you're interested. They are used but not abused. I just sold a set of arms, knuckles, pivot balls for cheap a couple of weeks ago.

brushlessboy16 07.11.2008 10:07 AM
