2. If you plan on running this reliably you will definitely want to link both batteries in parallel to both ESCs. This will make it so the motor systems get the exact same voltage and run the same speed and will also make it so that the LVC kicks in at the same time for both systems. I'm pretty sure you need to cut the BEC wire, that's what I did and it runs well. The ESC that is powering the BEC tends to run a little hotter than the other one. 3. I actually got my 9XL from arct1k a month ago (the same one he ran for a year?). But I haven't run it yet, because the Mamba Max has been in the repair shop for 5 weeks. So I've had the Revo for 7 months and I haven't even been able to even run it. :surprised::no::no::no: I'm not allowed to drive the dual Velineon |
TopSpeedTimmy - Don't worry the one that ran in my revo is still in my revo :)

I've been using a 1515/2.5D on 6S for a while now in my E-Revo on 18/62 with Badlands and it is geared for a solid 35 mph. With temps the way they are right now I think I can go up to 20/62 and get closer to 40mph with no problems at all, but I can't see doing any on-road with the E-revo that much and the 35 is a fun speed for bashing around and no parts breakage with lot's or torque at hand.

So I ended up going the hobby shop and getting a 62 tooth spur and used a 20 tooth pinion....:surprised: She was out of control! I don't have a speed gun, but my wheels were complete saucers and I had almost no weight on the front wheels for steering! It was a blast! 150 degrees on the motor 147 on the ESC. I'll make the wiring modifications tomorrow if I can. Thanks for the tip...something in the back of my mind was telling me I should have done it different...that's why I asked. What you said makes perfect electronics sense. |

I made the wiring modificatiions last night. I hate soldering those new Traxxas connectors:grrrrrr:, but I'm getting better at it. I'm going to sneak out of the office and run to a nearby park to test it. Hope nobody comes looking for me:eyes: |
E-ReVVo

What a blast! I'm running 62/20 gearing and its as fast as ____ :rules: I installed a set of fans on my speed controllers and temps are down to 105 for the ESC and 140 for the motors. The E-ReVVo is so fast, one of my tires came unglued! And just FYI, I also installed a set of Tekno anti-sway bars. This is the best performing RC vehicle I've ever built. Its what I've been trying to build from a TMaxx chassis for the last two years without success. |

Just did a pass with 22/58 gearing...48.5 MPH still not on a freshly peaked pair of 3s lipo batteries. Should hit 50 plus with fresh batteries.

Try it mine tonight for the second time on 6s, with a Neu 2.5d, gear 24/62 with the RCM revo hybrid V2 diff, buggy ratio.
It's amazing, i realy love this truck:yipi: |
