roweder 08.03.2008 11:29 AM

roweder 08.03.2008 11:36 AM

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 11:52 AM

hmm, hey your still getting it though :D

roweder 08.03.2008 12:03 PM

true, I'm lucky for that:smile:

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 12:05 PM

TexasSP 08.03.2008 12:16 PM

56 miles, 1 hour 8 minutes

According to Google Maps

Here it is according to mapquest:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=We...:::::f:EN:M:/e

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 12:26 PM

brushlessboy16 08.04.2008 08:18 PM

very nice!

roweder 08.04.2008 08:25 PM

thanks, I'm guessing that this will be running before my Speed-T, so I put the Z9100T back in the muggy. Horizon just sent me 2 new Xcelorin combos by accident, and neither of them work, now someone from losi is supposed to call me, the person who said that he would call me said that he was the best Xcelorin representative in the world, he said he would call either thursday or friday but he hasn't called yet.

roweder 08.07.2008 10:53 PM

well, the Xcelorin guy still hasn't called yet, and the mamba monster is still on back order, and i still have 2 cars that aren't working, and 1 li-po that's getting old:no::neutral:

BL_RV0 08.08.2008 11:06 AM

Looks very nice. IMO, you should pick up some new tires, 40 series mashers would look killer!

roweder 08.08.2008 12:21 PM

how about these?:

http://www.killerhobbies.com/items/r...006-detail.htm

http://www.killerhobbies.com/items/r...005-detail.htm

they're not 40 series, but pro-line has 1/8 truck series masher tires

a great price on these too!

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/21338

and i want these for on-road:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2973

and either of these:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2976

roweder 08.08.2008 04:39 PM

these are the wheels and tires that I already have:

brushlessboy16 08.08.2008 04:46 PM

YEAH BADLANDS i lovemine :D

TexasSP 08.08.2008 06:24 PM

I vote badlands, just repaint the rims. I think black would look more sinister.

roweder 08.08.2008 10:28 PM

I died them red, when i was going to get a body and paint it black, but then i didn't have enough money because i didn't have a job then, so I'm gonna keep them red and i don't know how soon i will do this but sometime soon I will buy a clear muggy body and paint it black and maybe add some purple, blue or green or red flames or words or whatever:mdr:, that will make the red rims blend in better

yes badlands are the best!!! but i haven't tried mashers...

roweder 08.10.2008 09:59 PM

check out what I'm getting!

http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-6000-185-Pack.htm

I was originally going to get the ProTek 4000mah 20C/30C Li-Po for $140, but since my truck's not going to be done until after my birthday, I'm going to have a little extra cash and I'm going with this one. It's 6000mAh, 5S2P, 18.5V, 20C maximum continuous discharge and 50C maximum burst discharge! that's 300 amps maximum burst discharge!!!

of course I'm not going to get it until I have a working BL combo

Just my advice here, but do not buy a maxamps pack. Unless you go with the 8000 pack. Their ratings are overly optimistic. Better to go with a flightpower, neuenergy, thunderpower, polyquest, or poly rc pack. They are made with enerland cells, much better quality.

I have had at least 12 maxamps packs, and had to return all of them. I have not had a failure yet with an enerland cell based pack, currently have the following:

Neu 3900 3s, 5000 3s
Flightpower 3700 4s (2) 2170 3s (2)
Poly rc 3700 5s bought used, still works as new
trakpower 4900 2s (4)

I have some more, just can't remember...

roweder 08.10.2008 10:29 PM

do you know of any specific models that will fit in a 48/144mm battery tray that have at least 120 amps of continuous discharge?

Here ya go, should not have any problem with this. BTW, that 6000 pack cannot push out 100 amps cont, let alone 120...

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXSRT9&P=7

roweder 08.10.2008 10:39 PM

dude that's perfect, thanks!

if they have that in higher mAh let me know, I just don't wanna go over $350

lincpimp 08.10.2008 10:58 PM

Trying to find a higher mah pack that is not longer is difficult. You can go up to 6000mah with fp lipos, but you will need a bigger battery tray. Mike sells a tray that will fit...

Look around, you may find a better price than tower hobbies has. You can go with any of the other brands I listed, they all use the same cells...

roweder 08.10.2008 11:06 PM

the only one that i found that was better was a flight power 6s pack, but i don't have a 6s charger, I just ordered the battery tray from rc-monster like 30 minutes ago, but I'm not going to cancel it unless I find one with higher mah and 5 cells that's too big for the one I ordered.

roweder 08.10.2008 11:13 PM

Now I see: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LiPo&search=Go
The one you chose is definitely the best, thanks so much

roweder 08.10.2008 11:20 PM

wait, i found one on a-main from thunder power, a little less at $264 and it's 160mm, 25C rated and 5000mah, I'm thinking that I'm gonna cancel that tray.

roweder 08.10.2008 11:35 PM

nah, I don't think I'll cancel it, thunder power is the only one that doesn't fit, Neu Energy has a 5000mah 25c/50c 5S pack that fits and it's only $250 plus it comes with a deans connector, but it also comes with a astro blinky balance connector and I need either thunder power or align compatible, maybe I'll be able to find a astro blinky female attached to a align male balance connector. I have the Losi charger, and it's max charge rate is the same as the battery which I am happy about, now i just need a li-po sack

ReV:-O 08.11.2008 10:17 AM

how much runtime do you guys reckon is possible with hard running in a muggy with 5000mah? i've heard people run up to 45 minutes but that was with 8000mah...

Are you talkin 6s? I get 20 - 25 min on 4300 6s; with the 5000 and a sane set up, 30 min. should be no prob.

suicideneil 08.11.2008 10:51 AM

Depends on the motor, gearing and terrain. If you use the old 4s 8000mah vs 6s 5000mah comparision (with suitable kv motors), the runtime should be roughly the same. Not an exact science though...

roweder 08.11.2008 11:21 AM

what about 2200kV motor, and 5S (just because that's my chargers limit) 5000mAh?

roweder 08.11.2008 01:29 PM

now, this probably sounds a little crazy, and I Probobly sound like the little boy in the candy shop that can't make up his mind, but I've found another setup, and I sent an e-mail to rc-monster mike asking him to cancel the battery tray i ordered last night, but i couldn't find a phone number, i would've rather called.

With this new setup, I have the steering servo in sideways, and the break servo in sideways next to the steering servo, and i haven't changed anything else. Now I have the whole left side of the muggy free for the battery, and i can mount it close to the front, and I originally could only fit a 158mm battery in it and now i can fit a 245mm battery in it (but, I'm not going to).

I'm getting a 6000mah 5S1P 25C/50C 18.5V Enerland pack when the MMM comes, and i had to change the brake servo mount because this battery is 168mm long

right now my camera's battery is dead and charging and I'll post pictures soon.

ReV:-O 08.11.2008 06:46 PM

are you just using one brake? i thought the muggy had 2 disc brakes - one for the front and one for the back?

roweder 08.11.2008 09:47 PM

yea, it has 2 but the way the servo is mounted, i can't figure out how to hook it up to the rear brake.

roweder 08.16.2008 05:51 PM

I got a new dremel, I was tired of charging the 4.8v one, plus this one has 35,000 rpm.

I also got the battery tray and installed it with a countersink bit.

looking good, only a 4000mah 3s? (i couldnt be bothered reading 6 pages sorry!) i should really get a dremel - but ive got 4 workshops at school i can use :)

roweder 08.16.2008 09:31 PM

no, a 5000mah 5s enerland pack, the protek is from my Speed-T, I'm going to use it with the muggy just to make sure it works before I buy the Enerland pack, I'm going to get this one:
