brushlessboy16 07.31.2008 05:26 PM

BL_RV0 07.31.2008 05:28 PM

Cool. Going to watch this closely.

brushlessboy16 07.31.2008 07:27 PM

should be a worthy basher when im done :D

snowhack 08.01.2008 10:52 AM

Sweet project.

I also have a Warhead and was watching eBay to see how much they're going for....not lookin good. So a BL conversion would be a nice option for me. I am triing to BL my 8T so I guess I can swear off nitro all together by doing the same to the WH.

The Super "Kitten" .27 runs to hot and is SSSSLLLOOOOWWWW.

Thought about hanging the Li-Pos off the side plates?

Good luck and will be watching...read: copping you if it works out.

brushlessboy16 08.01.2008 11:18 AM

not really i think it would throw off the balance since i only have one battery..

ill trade ya the warhead, 8xl badlands an maxx wheels for the 8t :D pm me

snowhack 08.01.2008 09:41 PM

No thanks... I built the 8T piece by piece from eBay stores, took me all winter. Its my baby.

brushlessboy16 08.01.2008 10:32 PM

aww man... :D

servo should be here tommorow
Tower order should be here monday, and shocks and motor, monday or tuesday

snowhack 08.01.2008 10:47 PM

Sorry....If it makes ya feel better (or worse) all said and done I ended up w/ a RR/RTR hybrid 8ight-T for about $400 +/- Thats w/ the 427 and spectrum. All brand-new-in-box except for the motor.

I forsee many bits of red, blue, yellow, white, grey, and green plastic being strewn about the street.

brushlessboy16 08.02.2008 01:20 PM

nah i ca'd the knex to the plastic from the exmods box :D, then wound about 5 layers of thread around it covering it entirely...then doused the thread in CA so i doubt it will break

trev3813 08.02.2008 02:27 PM

imma laugh, " man i hit the throttle pulled a wheelie, then it just flipped and colors were everywhere!"

Takedown 08.02.2008 04:27 PM

I see you flipped around the tranny. I was thinking about doing it but didnt want crazy wheelies because the lipo would have to be placed in the rear.

brushlessboy16 08.02.2008 04:43 PM

there is still room for the battery in front, but the trans is now lower and further forward then before, servo came in today :yipi:

massive load of parts should be here on monday... if i mom doesnt flip *explative* i accedentally broke the card slot door on her digital camera and she wants me to return all my parts in order to pay her back for it.... ugh

Takedown 08.02.2008 07:31 PM

Just say you cant and will not return it. Simple as that...

brushlessboy16 08.02.2008 09:52 PM

she ordered it for me..

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 07:06 PM

Good luck. I hope the windings arent f'ed up aswell which they shouldnt be because of the higher "c" rating capability. Anybody know what stock feigao windings can handle? Because i know that Neu windings can handle 200c which is pretty outstanding.

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 11:21 PM

i hope not...

and i hope the rotors are a direct fit..

now begins one of the longest waits in the history of man... equal only to when i get my first hobby grade RC.... W00t Rusty xl-5 :yipi:

brushlessboy16 08.04.2008 12:31 PM

1 Attachment(s)
Shocks and 8xl came in today.. they are HUGE!

brushlessboy16 08.04.2008 08:01 PM

news flash....

just got the warhead together...
pretty sure i got screwed over on the 8xl ran good for the first few seconds.... then went south.

I set the truck on my floor, and fired it up-calibrated my MM, everything was good.
forgot reverse stength.... did a frontflip on my floor, WOOHOO

then shut it down, took it outside on our concrete patio.. started up just fine... went off throttle just enough to move then it locked... then noticed that the rotor had almost a full centimeter of play...

Pretty sure i got effed over in this dea.

and now im out of money so this project is postponed untill further notice.

snowhack 08.04.2008 08:44 PM

What about these........
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...hless_Inrunner

I wouldn't trust a $30 motor personally. I hardly even trust an $80 motor! (Feigaos)

Really? That's surprising. They have to lack somewhere to get to almost 1/3 of the price though...

brushlessboy16 08.04.2008 09:36 PM

they only lack the brand name..

brushlessboy16 08.06.2008 06:08 PM

well the project is back on track, i dont know if i was a magor kiss ass, or actually worked for it or if my mom was ill and/or drunk... but she gave me my parts :D
and thanks to Mr. LincPimp i have another motor coming my way
should i "borrow" the camera?

trev3813 08.06.2008 09:47 PM

ah yes, hows the soldering going?

Takedown 08.06.2008 09:58 PM

Of course we want pics.

brushlessboy16 08.06.2008 10:44 PM
