I run my Novak all the time on 4s and no external bec.Never had it shut down.

I too was able to run my novak on a single 4s and no external bec without issues, but iv'e since used an external bec just to be safe.

The HV-Maxx BEC is actually running off of 2s when you have 4s plugged in. The BEC taps into only one of your two packs, so that means it is draining one of your 2s packs faster than the other, which also creates an imbalance if you charge the two packs together.

The MMM BEC, on the other hand, takes the full voltage and regulates it down much more efficiently. This results in NO Lipo pack imbalance.

I plan to convert my hobao hyper 7 buggy from gp to ep. I have no idea which BL system is suitable for h7 buggy + 4 cell lipo setup (due to my ICE charger can handle upto 4cell).

My budget not more than $300 for a BL system.

With this budget, I can only buy either mamba monster max + feigao BL motor or novak hv pro BL system.

Please share your experience bewteen these two BL system. If possible, please state the reason why you are choosing them.

id say save up for a month more, and get the MMM + 2600kv motor.

Does anybody know when Castle Creations will release Mamba Monster Max combo which include mamba BL motor?

the one released with the MMM later this year, should be around 1-2 months max. although more v2's are dying so perhaps they will work on a v3! anyway, its a copy of a 1512 2d smooth. 2550/2600 (depending on where you look, im still a bit confused about it.) ive got a real one and its really nice on 4s. good luck choosing!
