I've alway had dogs since I was a kid, but never really liked small dogs (although with longer legs he would be more normal dog size). He does have a great personality and definitely small dog syndrome too.

cheesecake 09.12.2008 02:18 AM

i like dogs with small legs and long bodies other dogs look wierd to me

any news on the conversion? pics?
is the rc8 motor mount off the chassis because of the center stiffener plate?

cheesecake 09.15.2008 03:57 PM

yes its because of the plate im actually swapping everything over from my buggy onto my truggy so i will have pictures in a bit

cheesecake 09.25.2008 01:58 AM

ok i stalled on swapping everything over but the time has come i will get it all swapped over tommorow in hopes of my body coming back nicely painted so i can take it racing next wednesday. as soon as its done ill get some pics for everyone

jhautz 09.25.2008 02:34 AM

Yea.... get it set up and some practice in on it before next sunday. I dont want any excuses about why I stomped you wit my XT8.

cheesecake 09.25.2008 02:45 AM

i dont see that happening....... what happened to your xray this past sunday.....i definatly didnt lose that one ....oh and your other xray buddy with the nitro engine he got lapped lol

cheesecake 09.25.2008 09:24 PM

well i drove it today and ive never driven anything so cool. one complaint out of the whole thing.... the stock steering servo horn is too short it limits steering so now i have to find a longer one

well here are the pics and jhautz i hope your ready to lose next race

jhautz 09.26.2008 01:44 AM

Looks good Eli. Finally some competition out there. I was getting sick of laping the nitros. lol

If you drive it anything like you drove the buggy last weekend I'll certaily have my work cut out for me. But I doubt you will. You cant get that lucky 2 races in a row. :na:

Too bad you arent making the trip to the RCM bash with us this weekend.

cheesecake 09.26.2008 02:02 AM

i wish i could go but now getting stuck working weekends that leaves no time to do anything

strodedawg 09.26.2008 07:43 AM

what parts rc-m parts did you use? what did you take from your buggy?

cheesecake 09.26.2008 10:10 PM

i took electronics from the buggy but the radio tray and motor mount are rcmonster along with the battery tray

Bomb-Proof 10.02.2008 09:01 PM

Whats your gearing?

cheesecake 10.02.2008 09:02 PM

18/54

diffs are 43/10

rschoi_75 10.03.2008 01:42 PM

Nice build!

entjoles 10.10.2008 10:56 PM

great build

i have a rc8 buggy on the way and i have to go to a 54t spur to get the gear ratio i need , does anyone know if i will need more then just a spur in the buggy? will i need new diff mounts?

Bomb-Proof 10.10.2008 11:06 PM

you will need the spacer from the 8t.

entjoles 10.10.2008 11:24 PM

do you have a link?

all i can find for the center diff mount is the same for the buggy and truggy

:oops::neutral:

cheesecake 10.11.2008 02:39 AM

the spacer wont make the gear high enought. the buggy has no hole for the spur gear where the truggy the gear has a hole to mount it lower. why would you need a 54 tooth spur gear in the buggy. what are you trying to do with your setup

entjoles 10.11.2008 03:33 PM

its so i can run this asap :rules: and use the motor i have (hvmaxx 4.5 - 5000kv), i need the final drive ratio around 22:1 , so with 11/54 it will be good, and the speed calc. puts my speed at 40-41mph , 4s mmm and the 4.5 hv motor in a rc8 buggy

cheesecake 10.11.2008 04:41 PM

well i dont think the gear will fit due to no cutout on the buggy chassis

That's easy enough to fix though. Use a Sharpie to mark out on the chassis where the hole is needed, then drill holes in it with a regular drill bit about the right size, then use a cutoff wheel on a Dremel to cut it all out (there shouldn't be a whole lot if you drilled it right), then just clean it all up with a grinding bit on the Dremel. Take your time to do it right and it will come out nice and probably still only take 30-45 minutes.

Bomb-Proof 10.13.2008 09:42 PM

Try the 44 or 46t kyosho nylon gear, with a 9t pinion and you will be better off.

cheesecake 10.13.2008 11:34 PM

well after the last outdoor race of the season i will be doing some modding to the truggy. so i will try to keep everyone as updated as possible

Daytona675 10.16.2008 05:12 PM

Nice build:yes:.Do you have the chocie of lay-down or upright?
http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f.../E-RC8T002.jpg

cheesecake 10.17.2008 03:32 AM

with the rc monster plate you cant use a laydown servo

cheesecake 10.20.2008 11:38 AM

Well i got my body back and now im not sure i want to even put stickers on it:lol:

lol just order another one. I mean if your hesitant too put stickers on it, wait till you go too drive it.

Daytona675 10.20.2008 04:24 PM

Body looks great. I saw earlier you were going to pick up a motor mount, did you ever get this? I am slowing starting a rc8t build and I ordered the mount and the servo tray looks completely different? looks like it will allow the lay down for lower cog. again body looks bad ass:yipi:cograts.

Bomb-Proof 11.09.2008 08:14 PM

what Kv motor at that gearing?

cheesecake 11.12.2008 01:19 PM

im running a 1650kv motor with 16 54 gearing

Daytona675 11.13.2008 04:41 PM

What oil are you using in your diff? Are they unloading? Thanks

cheesecake 11.13.2008 05:08 PM

i run 7-7-7 without unloading im not sure why people feel they need to run 30k in certain cars but i run the same diff setup the nitro guys do
