Wow, that's all? I would have thought it would be somewhere in the 6ft+ area...

But even at that, its still neat. Just started noticing how cool that VW body looks with that wing.:wink:

It might, if I could keep the front end down, all it does is wheely like crazy.

Make a drag bar? (like a wheely bar with some shocks on it) There was someone on here I think that did that with their CRT.5 conversion

Very nice! I can only imagine some action shots of that thing! :oh:
What colour(s) are you going to paint the body?

I am learning, I have used 3 and 4 cell Maxamp lipo batteries in my rock crawlers with no prolems yet. From now on I will be using these in my conversions.

I really like the looks of the bug body and paddles! Looks perfect!

I wish I had sand around here, because it looks AWESOME!

Dark or light blue would look really cool IMO.

Nice conversion, I'm working on my first too, a muggy (waiting on mmm 2200kv combo)

I like the heat sink and colors and the body with the wing and paddles are all just so sweet together.

I have a suggestion for the colors, you'll have to try this on a piece of lexan from your trimmings first though: spray paint it lightly with a not so flat gold or silver, then put the color you're looking for on on top of that, it looks really nice, it's called candy. I like gold with black, it looks awesome, I'm not so sure about it on a bug body though...

I got that heat sink for my speed-t, but it wouldn't fit under the motor guard, so if you ever need a replacement lmk, I'll ship it to you for free if your in the US.

If you're looking for good batteries, I like thunder power, they have great prices and are made with enerland cells, I'll be using their 6S 5000mAh 25C battery in my muggy.

I just did this with my Speed-T, it gets dark around here early now, plus I have school, not only do they look cool but they help you see the car in the dark, a little expensive but friggin awesome!

The "any" in bl_rvo's post refers to that stuff we used to eat back in the day...

roweder 09.18.2008 11:34 AM

ok...

wow I really shouldn't interfere with any jokes on these threads, I can't even imagine what the ones I've already read really mean...

chip cross 09.19.2008 10:12 PM

Finally got some paint on this sucker. The color is almost the same as the heat sink on the Mamda Max. Whatcha think ? I also added some road treads and dyed traxxas pede wheels.

looks awesome chip!! :D

E-Revonut 09.19.2008 11:41 PM

how does it handle with the wider tires on it? For street treads I went with 2.2 anacondas on mine. They don't put much tread on the ground but with 4wd it doesn't seam to do to bad with them and the rounded edges keep it from hooking up enough to flip when turning, it'll spin out before flipping. I also use a set of slash tires as A/T tires, not bad but more prone to rolling with them as they raise the truck's COG

roweder 09.20.2008 12:16 AM

Nice! awesome colors! the green almost looks like candy green!

lincpimp 09.20.2008 01:30 AM

I handles great, I ran some 2.8 Anacondas from Jato and I really don't care for them.

It is candy backed with black to give it the color of the Mamba heat sink.
