rchippie 10.19.2008 10:25 AM

I made them that way so the plate would hold the box & end parts together when ther mounted . I got some more work done today . I made my new RR brace with a hole for the fan that will go underneath to help cool the MM esc .

Probably. You could use the steel spur as a template for the four holes.

BL_RV0 10.20.2008 09:06 AM

Do they make a plastic spur for the hyper ST centre differential?

If it is the std plastic case non-spider design, a kyosho plastic spur will work. They only come in 44 and 46t though, but should work since the st has 11/43 diff ratio.

lincpimp 10.20.2008 09:29 AM

Here is a link to the gear that will fit the gtp: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBM16&P=7

James that gear would be the easyest to use since there would be no modding needed . I was just trying to use the stock ratio if possible .

That is the gear I use on my gtp with the kb45 motor. I have not had any issues with it so far. I do not like steel spurs due to the noise, and the only 6mm bore pinions I found were not hardened, so I had to use a plastic spur.

Thats the reason i want to use the plastic spur because of the noise .

That is the main reason I use them. And hopefully it is slightly weaker than the glue used to hold the magnet on the motor shaft. I would rather replace the spur than the motor.

Just put a stereo on your vehicle. And yes, it's possible (I've done it).

I had not seen that before, thanks for the laugh!

BrianG 10.20.2008 01:07 PM

lol, np. I have since sold the E-Revo, but still have the "stereo system" sitting on a shelf.

rchippie 10.20.2008 01:34 PM

LMAO . Thats awsome brian .

I got some more work done . I mounted the battery box & made a radio tray . I also installed UPGRADE RC chassis protection tape on the bottom of the chassis. I will have pics latter today .

Arct1k 10.20.2008 08:15 PM

You should record some nitro noises such that you can use it at the track :)

rchippie 10.20.2008 09:03 PM

The new pics are up . http://skellyo.com/hippie/gtp/

rchippie 10.21.2008 09:51 PM

This is the body i got for my GTP. I have'nt dcided what color to paint it yet . Im not sure if i will do a single color or a multi color paint scheme. http://kyosho.com/eng/products/rc/de...duct_id=102167

Arct1k 10.21.2008 10:56 PM

Sweet I went for the Nissan 350 Z and just bought the paint for it... Body it huge!

PS - Doesn't that body kind of have to be red!

skellyo 10.21.2008 10:59 PM

Good choice on the body...I always liked that one. Now if you'd just stay off the damn phone you may have some time to actually trim it up and paint it.

If you would stop calling me everyday i would have time to paint it .

CHRIS Yellow is also used on alot on the FERRARI'S . Im not sure a multi color paint job would look as good . Im thinking about my normal color scheme from FR to RR white FL yellow & FL green. what do you think ?. I thought the nissian was to big. thats why i went with the FERRARI . It fits my gtp perfectly .

You might be right . What do you think should that body be a single color or a multi color paint scheme ?.

What's_nitro? 10.22.2008 07:45 PM

I have two favorite colors: black and blue. SO all of my bodies are painted black and/or blue. You should try that scheme. It looks good no matter how you paint it!

brushlessboy16 10.22.2008 07:59 PM

indeed it is.. great combo

Nice ride BB16. Although what I meant was "paint it your favorite colors and it will look good". :mdr:

What's_nitro? 10.22.2008 08:11 PM

My fault- it was somewhat vague.

rchippie 10.22.2008 09:00 PM

I really like my normal 3 color fade paint job versus a single color .

skellyo 10.22.2008 09:29 PM

Nah, do a single color. I like this color.

Arct1k 10.22.2008 09:31 PM
