Pick up the phone.....If they dont have what you ordered in stock, you may be waiting for a while. She said that if I hadnt called, I wouldn't have received any notice until the new shipment came in, which could be up to 2-3 weeks out.

That sucks. I just e-mailed. Phone rates from Japan to the U.S. is outrageous :neutral:.

rootar 10.29.2008 12:10 AM

they were trying to get the rest of the online orders done and out thisafternoon and tomorrow.

E-Revonut 10.29.2008 04:35 PM

Finally got to run the 2s 5000mah hardcase today and WOW! I'm running this in my CRT.5 with a Medusa 36-50-4800. I had been previously been running 2s 6000mah MA packs. Changing nothing but the battery the truggy did a flip on takeoff! Way more impressive with this pack!!!

rchippie 10.29.2008 06:20 PM

For those that are interested . I just ordered a neu 4s1p 4900. There are only 3 left after i placed my order . If you wany one you better hurry up .

CRTIM 10.29.2008 08:03 PM

Would you guys think the neu 5s 4900's would be a good batt. choice for a CRT truggy w/neu 1515 2.5d/MMM ....basically just for track racing ....or would the 5000's be a better choice ??...will i notice the difference of 100 mah??...any idea on a ballpark run time on 4900's ??...thanks guys for the help

You will not notice a difference with 100 mah in my opinion . I had a crt that ran on 4s with a 15151y . On my FP 4s 5000's i can get anywere between 15 -20 minutes . Depending how smooth i am with the throttle . I just ordered a NEU ENEGRY 4s1p 4900 to use with my jammin buggy & GTP . I think you should expect anywere from 15 min & up from the 4900's .

Thanks rchippie for the help ...this is all new to me ...LOL...ive almost finished with my build and i'm finding out that the battery's are turning out to be my biggest decision...Neu 5s 4900 or 5000, little lighter and smaller...or go with the zippy 5s 5000, cheaper but bigger and heavier....LOL...the more i read the more choices i find...decisions decisions

E-Revonut 10.29.2008 09:47 PM

I haven't tried the Zippy packs, was going to until I seen the Neus on sale. Very happy with my purchases. I won't be buying another MA pack unless they do a complete change. However MA will keep my business for most of my other needs.

5s 4900 with a 1515 2.5d in a truggy is a good setup, and it's what I used to run. I think iit was good for about 18 minutes race time, and based on that amp draw 100mah would be and extra 20 seconds.

JThiessen 10.30.2008 09:07 AM

Hey, ERevonut - do you have the exact width and length of the 4900's? Just wanted to verify their dimensions so I can make my new battery tray.

skellyo 10.30.2008 03:27 PM

How long has it taken most of you to get your shipping notification on packs you ordered?

They are aprox 6.565" long+ allowance for wire so about .25-.3" extra x 1.875" wide x 1.075 tall.

I have received notification within 2 days of ordering that they are shipping

stum 10.30.2008 06:42 PM

I just ordered up a pair of the 4900xp's as well.. the site says they are 158mm is this incorrect? MY battery tray is 6" long and fit the evo25's with a little space on the bottom they are listed as 152mm packs and again there is a few mm to spare.. did I just make a mistake ording up a pair of those 5s 4900's ??

Sounds like it. Unless you are going to make a new battery tray. Can you cut one end out?

stum 10.30.2008 08:50 PM

Does anyone actually have the Neu Energy 25c 5s 4900XP lipo?? What is the length of the 'flat' part of the lipo, not the end to end measurement as that can very a bit depending on who builds the packs.. but the flat spot, the actual pack length where it has contact w/ the tray. MUCH MUCH appreciated if someone can post up quickly so I can cancel the order before it ships tomorrow! THANKS!!

E-Revonut 10.30.2008 09:22 PM

flat spot is just about 6" (6x25.4=152.4mm)

GO-RIDE.com 11.03.2008 08:04 PM

Oh Man... I just got a notice today that Neu did not have the lipos I ordered. It took over a week for them to say they didn't have them.

What's funny is some people have posted that the Zippy/Rhino lipos take a long time to get from Hobbycity. I ordered a pair of Rhino's a couple of days after I ordered the Neu's and they arrived last week. It only took 3 or 4 days for the Rhinos to arrive. What do you know?

JThiessen 11.03.2008 08:11 PM

Well, I dont know anything yet. I havent recieved a shipping notice, and i havent recieved any batteries (at least not that I know of - havent been home today). I did get my refund from the downgrade to 4900's from 5500's in paypal.

skellyo 11.03.2008 08:25 PM

FWIW, a phone call goes a long way guys. The lady at Neu is more than willing to find out about your order if you give her a call.

rootar 11.03.2008 08:47 PM

i was told most orders were delayed a little and they have most all shipped just alot didnt get tracking numbers, mine arrived today and all is good to bad i wont even get home before dark this whole week to even try it out in the J82 and Lazer.....

theyre coming guys dont worry, they sound pretty hectic at neu every time ive called, so im assuming they got swamped with orders of these batts and they are having a hard time getting them out.

skellyo 11.03.2008 08:57 PM

Mine came in today:

i really need to buy another charger and transponder before i buy any more lipos though........ ahhh the delima of a poor college kid lol man i made alot more money and had alot more free time in highschool....

Well, after I posted last, I made my second call to them to see what was going on now. She was quite apologetic, and told me to call again tomorrow afternoon if I still hadn't recieved a shipping confirmation. She said things there were really hectic last week, and some things fell through the cracks.

rchippie 11.03.2008 11:54 PM

I just got a email notification . My lipo is in the mail .:party::party:

rchippie 11.06.2008 07:44 PM

If you don't mind me asking, what day did you order yours?

JThiessen 11.06.2008 10:16 PM

So I promised dimensions of the 5S 4900's
1.86" wide x 1.77 tall x 6.63 long
47.244mm x 44.958mm x 168.402mm

Mine just fit my battery tray. They are just a hair narrower than my Zippy K's, but a heck of a lot longer and thicker.

Rnemhrd 11.22.2008 07:34 PM

I just got some of the 2s1 4900s. My charger has jst balance ports. hobby city has these,http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s..._Male_Kokam_3S but I need it in 2s. Any Ideas. The charger is a Venom pro charger. It works well, but now I wish I did'nt buy it. The main port in the charger is a jst 6s port. Is there a what adaptor plug do I need to use a Hyperion 2S-6S Kokam Adapter. Thanks

SpEEdyBL 11.22.2008 11:33 PM

The adaptor you are looking for is called an "EH" adaptor. Astro blinky taps are the same thing as what kokam uses.
