Good to know (it's different here).

I hope different means good! Thank you for sharing. I'm now thinking about selling it all and going 1/6 scale. Very impressive.

Well, actually I thought worse but I meant Germany when I wrote "here" - lol

What KV rating does that motor have?

Also, What shaft size?

I'm just wondering how hard it is to find pinion gears for something like that.

Excellant Pics and info. This may be my next obsession. LOL

The KV rating in the current setup is 875, the shaft size is 10mm.
10mm is the regular shaft size of the 1/5-6 gas-models so pinion gears are no problem.

I saw a few of your vids a while back and was pretty impressed with the power. Lehner/Schulze or Lehner/MGM combo's never seize to amaze me. I am currently converting my MCD 1/5 MT but its going to be brushed for the purpose of being able to get wet and the "no cogging" affect like some brushless apps have. I will be running a powerful brushed robotics CIM motor on three "12v" PB's 5000mah packs in series which is equivalent to a 10s lipo setup. They are also hardcase like all PB's which makes me feel safer. I am still debating if I should use a HV brushed "r/c" esc or to use a scooter brushed "esc" with a potentiometer hooked to a servo for thottle. Brakes will be mech. Im hoping to get some dirt flinging action out of this thing.

Michael, the owner did a hell of a job to support me in realizing this Monster-project.

I have just purchased this motor mount from Micheal at onefive.de and going to install it on a FG monster truck 2WD - with a Lehner 3080 motor and run it on 12S with a schulze 40.160. I have already done a conversion using a Bolido Plettenberg and a Schzule 40.160. I sent pictures of my conversion and video to Micheal. The biggest problem I have is I can't apply more than 1/3 power before the car spins out of control. So I am going to try my luck on the bigger monster truck.

Are you using the FG pinion and spur gears ? Looking at the picture it is not clear of the pitch of the gears.

The 4WD conversion is it better than using a MCD 4WD rolling chassis? I asked onefive.de if he has the motor mount for the MCD yet and he says it is not ready although he sent me a picture of the test project.

Any further advice on the gearing would be much appreciated.

Mohan

Yes he is using the stock pinion and spur gears
