I got a reply from the people at proline. The man said they looking into a set of proline 40 series mulchers to market. I hope this helped. I sent them the pic to. I think they liked it as much as we do. I just thought you should know about it.

boss 302 02.01.2006 08:38 PM

im glad they liked it. it was a fine piece of work good job chc

coolhandcountry 02.01.2006 08:56 PM

Well I decided to go with the bead lock rims from proline. I got them from mike of course. I put them on my other set i had to see. They fit really well. I decide this since the bead is not factory and as thick as the facotry tires. Besides the no glue is nice. ;)

Dafni 02.02.2006 09:38 AM

Nice one Leroy! If PL ever comes out with 40s Mulchers, I definitely get a set and will call 'em Leroys Tires for ever!

Serum 02.02.2006 09:43 AM

Yeah..

coolhandsmulchers.. that would be cool..

What's up with the fuel cells Daniel?

Dafni 02.02.2006 11:02 AM

Let's not hijack this thread. We'll talk about this at another point. Still a pretty far away thing, but there are some very interesting approaches!

But thanks for asking, I already wondered when you'll ask :027:

Serum 02.02.2006 11:07 AM

us?? hijacking threads?!

That signature is asking for hijacking.. ;)

boss 302 02.02.2006 04:38 PM

instead of having proline on the side of the tires put Leroy's
more info on the fuel cells please

coolhandcountry 02.02.2006 06:59 PM

The coolhand mulchers don't sound bad.
I was thinking along the line of country mulchers. :D
either way It be nice if proline produced them.
If not I may have to make another set. ;)

boss 302 02.02.2006 07:04 PM

you could buy several sets and sell them after you cut them out

$w!ft 02.02.2006 07:23 PM

Id buy some.

My tires are always flopping around all over because of the high distance between top of wheel and top of tire.

Taht is why I wanted the 40 series. I want to test them and see how they compare. I want to blast them a couple times and see how they handle and grip.

boss 302 02.02.2006 10:40 PM

let us know how they perform

I have mounted them up and ready for a test spin. I don't know how they will do. I took a pic of them on a truck on a commando 40 series rim beadlocks. I put them on my double extended gmaxx since no 23 mm adapters for my other truck. I not sure how to post a pic any more.

maxxdude1234 02.19.2006 11:56 AM

Looking good chc. Where did you get those tires from?

coolhandcountry 02.19.2006 12:29 PM

Read thru the thread. I think i say it somewhere in there. Proline may be making a set to put on market. Until then I may be the only person with a set. I may make another set if they do as well as expected.

Serum 02.19.2006 12:37 PM

Beadlock is the way imo, lets hope they don't come out of the lock, since there is no bead..

Sneeck 02.19.2006 01:06 PM

That look's so sexy. Hope they work ok.

boss 302 02.19.2006 02:46 PM

they look good CHC

coolhandcountry 02.19.2006 06:16 PM

well the test went great. I may start on set number two. I like the way they handle It is nothing like them. They handle great and took the speed pretty well. I had to run them on the 2250. They tore a few grass clumps out the yard. :D Well the test was great. I love them more than I thought. I got to do another set.

boss 302 02.19.2006 06:18 PM

How much are you selling them for???

kmracer66 02.19.2006 06:28 PM

i really think pro-line needs to add this tire to their 40 series line up.

coolhandcountry 02.19.2006 06:46 PM

Iwas not planning on selling them. It is really not hard to make them. A little time and patients works wonders. The beadlocks seem to hold them in great. The tires has a little ridge on the inside left where I cut them and it seems to grab the lock very well. I want to build another set for the other truck

coolhandcountry 05.11.2006 07:23 PM

Update. The beadlock rims did not work as well as intended. Since cut the bead off it had nothing to grip to. Under slow speed it was great. Once above 45 or so the tire pulled out of the beadlock. I will try to glue to a set of cheyenne rims and test out further. With cheyenne should be alot lighter to.

cabking 05.11.2006 07:43 PM

Thats a shame, I was hoping this would work out. Glue has got to be a good bet though.
The Truggys at our track get some serious ballooning (pizza cutters) going on from the front tires Ive never seen one come off yet.

Those Cheyenne wheels, are they plated?

coolhandcountry 05.11.2006 09:50 PM

Well I will test them out. I was checking out the rd logic spikes to. The spikes seem to look better than the mulchers. I don't have enought to complete though. I try to glue and run.

Dafni 05.16.2006 04:54 AM

It's here!! PL has launched the 40's Mulchers, check their site!!

cabking 05.16.2006 05:06 AM

HAPPY DAYS :004:

Serum 05.16.2006 06:38 AM

Yeah!

here they are!

boss 302 05.16.2006 06:42 AM

yeah have to get me a set

wonder if they started making them because of leroy?

Sylvester 05.16.2006 07:38 AM

YESS!!!! Im gonna order a set once mike gets them!

coolhandcountry 05.16.2006 08:03 AM

I should have patented it. I wonder what made them to make them. They said they had no intentions on making them. I glad they did. I love my set. They handle awesome. I did get to test them out on glued rims. I love them. they have awesom traction. Makes the truck corner well for it has traction.

cabking 05.16.2006 08:32 AM

the thought of $$$ probley spurred them on :028:
I would think you would be the last person they would tell...........being as you had a prototype already :027: .....thats business for ya..

Put me down for a set Mike :004:

coolhandcountry 05.16.2006 08:48 AM

I was thinking of modding a few for ebay to. Well there goes my $$$.
They could at least send me a free set. I would be happy with that.

Mike.L 05.16.2006 05:04 PM

im going to think about getting a pair later on. the stock maxx wheels are a pain!

squeeforever 05.16.2006 06:26 PM

THANK GOD!!! I am about ready to get another set and I'm glad i haven't gotten them yet. These are certainly going to be my next set. Anybody know what they do onroad?

coolhandcountry 05.16.2006 06:57 PM

I have no idea about the new one squee. I can say the others get decent traction. Not sure how they wear cause have very little pavement to test on.

coolhandcountry 08.18.2006 10:58 AM

Has any one got the new 40 series and tested them to the reg maxx size?
I have seen them in a few hobby store sites. I noticed mike hasn't posted them on the store yet. I like to get a comparsion opinion.

cabking 08.18.2006 02:11 PM

Ive had a set on for a few weeks now and I Love them, they dont balloon like the original mulchers and the traction I now get on our track it truly awesome.
best thing since sliced bread imo
