You can always add shims to prevent this.
|
So take off the frontplate and put the shims where?Between the front bearing?
|
I would put them between the magnet and the spacer. So the brass spacer is still against the bearing(in sure they put that size of a spacer in there for a reason) It probably doesnt matter but thats me just thinking out loud.

Just though I would add my gearing and temps to the review for others to see.
Outside temperature= 55* Motor= never over 110* Neu 4s batteries= never over 75* MMM= not sure, but the fan never turned on. Gearing in E-Revo= 19p 56spur That was in shorter runs lasting no more then 15 min at a time on the road since it was raining off and on today. Power seemed great! A lot of torque on demand. I can't wait to get a run in with dry weather... someday. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I am going to try 19p 54spur and see if there is much of a difference in speed. -Brett |
are these motors better on 6s a123 than the bidproducts motors?
will these increase my runtime? http://www.bidproduct.com/part/Produ...MOTOR_184.html will this motor have more power than the bidproduct? i see i can get 2200k/v only, is this not to much for 6s a123? |
Bidproduct motors = better built feigaos. They are cheaper, and use a one-piece magnet vs the segmented magnets inside feigaos, but they give pretty much the same performance and temps/efficiency.
For 6s A123 like I run (= ~5s lipo), I'd say the 1900kv option would be best or there abouts, but the 2200kv MMM motor will be more powerful and efficient for sure, just gear down a touch to compensate for the higher kv/motor rpms. |
I've come from testing my MMM COmbo 2200KV at the track (muuddy) this morning, and all I can say is flawless performance!! high torque , high speed, super low temps; geared 20/56 (38-39mph) motor didn't go over 45ºC (113ºF) weather temp about 15ºC sunny (60ºF), MMM fan didn't see fan turning on (when body out, can't say on ride). I opened the body some times, but the motor was extremely cool so I continue runing almost non-stop!
The SPC 8000mAh 12C did very nice, high punch, low temps during rides (78ºF) very high duration time, much more than the titans or Kershaw, also 5000 mAh 25C Intellect went nice until I hit aa vertical steel rod of the circuit and broke pushrod, arm and differential yoke, but before the Revo resist a hard punishment and uncountable hard roll overs flawlessly! I could deplenish the 8000 SPC pack, I stopped before it get to 6 volts (6.20V aprox) because the car lost speed, so I couldn't test the cut off (manually set at 12v, I think to low for 4s). This pack and a little of the 5000 Intellect (15 min) give me an d about hour and a half runtime with short breaks (so easy 50 min with 8000 pack) Provisional instalation, no good place for the switch and double sided velcro for the MMM that worked perfect, nice cusion, and didn't move in all the crashes and rollovers, so very nice performance , maybe the "flex" and some free movement of the velcro gives nice protection. http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/5325/cimg2932ew7.jpg http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/8122/cimg2927we5.jpg http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/9877/cimg2933sr4.jpg http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/3115/cimg2931lw6.jpg |
nasty lol! good to hear it go's easy on those 12c packs:slap:

I just took a few runs on th etrue rc 8000 10c lipos with mine in the e-revo geared 20/58 with 6.3inch tires and they did very well. I was surprised how well they handled this combo. They were 128* after hitting the 12.5volt cutoff in about 30mins.(I drove the crap out of it to see how the 8000s would handle it) I bet the smc 8k 12c would do just fine
