'Tis an unwieldy looking beast for sure, but nice to know its durable- CEN stuff does tend to look beefy I have noticed.

Eh, how did I miss this thread :whip:. So this is it what you were talkin about on the other thread.. Very nice.
That is locked at the 2nd gear? Have you been able to drop some weight? Wanna to see some pics of my Genesis conversion? It isn't finnished though |

Yes locked in 2nd (39T) with 24T pinion. Milled a groove through the gear and one way bearing, and I'm using a pin to lock it to the shaft. Got tired of messing with the one way. Post up your pics.....also yes I have shaved some weight by dropping to the smaller tires/wheels, two shocks only, dropping the rest of the gears...etc |

Very nice!!!

Thanks.
As you can see theres alot of alu parts, so that thing weights about +22lbs . Now I dont have any other projects going on, so I might continue this. Theres much challenge to me. Have to sort out the gearbox thing (might use emaxx tranny) and what elecs to put in.. I heard that you are running 5s 1900kv motor on that? Thats crazy man :mdr: doesn't it run hot? I have there 12xl bk motor and I still think that it is too hot motor for that application.. I will update my thread soon, so I wont hijack yours  |
Its runs super cool.....except its undergeared. A full A-main event with the stock tires, the motor is 100-110 max and the controller is 95-100 max. Now with the much smaller bowties the motor is getting to 140-150 and the controller is still 85-95 deg. Its WAY undergeared.....final is 17.7:1, but with the stock tires I get lots of speed and better load. With the smaller bowties, the thing is just a big torque monster.

I would like to see your truck running. Any chance of a video? There isn't a lot of these converted, have seen 1 video and it was Belt-drive nemesis.
