Wimps, I'd be willing to freeze my nyloc nuts off to test one of these monster-motors...

On that note:

:lol::rofl:

I would send an e-mail, but I don't think Patrick has ever got any of my e-mails, which is the other reason why I didn't send it. If he wants any feedback from me, I would be more then glad to help out beta testing the motor. I have a MMM that still needs to stretch its legs a bit.

HAHAHA, good one Neil, I love the demotivational posters.

I would make another hitler vs pope comment but I promised that I would not...

God vs Darwin....

BrianG 01.28.2009 05:58 PM

OK, that makes sense. I couldn't make out the Darwin part, so I was focusing on the dates of the brit note.

lutach 01.28.2009 05:59 PM

I take Nature over anything else. Nature has been there forever basically and we all can see her magical work with our good ol' eyes.

Well put!

Arct1k 01.28.2009 06:12 PM

I'll take Darwin - He's my six year only black lab - although he was produced by nature...

Now I'm confused...

Dude, we are not about to get into anything involving little kids, let alone a forum members child...

We will just stick to insulting each other...

suicideneil 01.28.2009 07:49 PM

I didnt get the burrito joke, so hence no comment.

BL_RV0 01.28.2009 09:09 PM

Patrick, I sent you 2 emails. Did you get both?

XSKAPE 01.28.2009 11:56 PM

Patrick,
Do you have dimensions, weight and pictures of the beta motor?
It will be perfect for my G3R on 2x 5s 5000mah packs in parallel.

How long till we see the production ones?

Heck can I pre-order a MMM 1800kv combo now? :-)

Wow, even I would not go there... Guys, I think whofarted just raised (or lowered) the bar here...

crazyjr 01.29.2009 01:40 AM

I really wish i could sign up for this, but my G2R has a broke shaft and my 8T hasn't been converted yet. Plus i don't have a serious 6s setup yet, all i have is a quark and they don't always like 6s

Thank's man!

I didn't even really notice what bustitup said anyway. My kids eating a banana anyway.

Each other is fair game, kids are a no go, I agree.

Back to the subject at hand, I am exciting about these motors. I would try for the tester myself but don't have the proper equipment to make a good report so I will wait for the final product. This should be great for my revo when I put the moabs on thicken the diff oil. Or maybe a future LST2 project.......:diablo:

with the moabs and a locked rear, that would be one mean LST2!

revo:whip: LST2 for sure

OK I want to clarify what I posted to TexasSP here

Ninfa's is a fantastic Mexican restaurant
that I miss very much from when I lived in Houston are for 12 or 15 years......I thought his icon was his son eating a burrito (Mexican food)....I took it for granted that tex would be familiar with Ninfa's and his son eating what I thought was a burrito was making me have a craving for mexican food

in no way was I insinuating any perversion....I have no idea how it got misconstrued

Can't tell you how many times I've seen misunderstandings in forums go off the deep end...

Always best to assume that someone DOESN'T mean what you think if you think it is a negative connotation.

Just wayy too easy to misconstrue in written text.

And Go DARWIN! --- ummm I mean Go GOD! ... crap, I shouldn't have gone there.

Arct1k 01.29.2009 03:22 PM

Patrick - I appreciate you get lots of email but I was wondering if you could list who you have recieved requests from for 1800 motor testing - It is just that as you get so many mails which you are not able to respond to it is difficult to know if you've filtered out an email or if it got through. I know I sent one last week that i never had a response to and I'm sure there may be more. Kind regards, Chris

To clarify it didn't bother me one bit. I was just reiterating what linc said about peoples kids. I took no offense bustitup, so don't worry and sorry I didn't explain better. I think fartboy's mind must be in the gutter somewhere.......

I know Ninfa's real well and have eaten at the original in the 4th ward near downtown too many times to count (4th ward is a barrio in Houston for those not in the know). Ninfa in fact has served me herself more times than I can count as well God rest her soul. There are so many fine Mexican restaurants in Houston it's insane. From TexMex, to Baja, to authentic Mexican dishes from different geographic areas we have it. Most people do not realize that across the country Mexican cuisine varies quite a bit. Most American's only know TexMex and some know California Baja style. But go to Montery and the food is different from say Mexico City, which differs from the Yucatan and so forth.

Sorry for the Mexican Food lesson it's just being native Texan and having so many mexican and hispanic friends from all over I am "passionate about the food".

I forgot linc doesnt joke about pedophilia anymore... ever since that child got mixed up with his midgets. I think the charges were dropped but there is still a gag order in effect.

(ok, I dont normally do this...but did I really offend anyone? I'm just playin people.)

In all seriousness, in all the times I have ever gone there to have drinks with DickyT, I have NEVER ONCE, not even one time, EVER seen Tex's boy at neverland ranch.

I sent MJ a letter the day my son was born with me and a laser sighted AR15 and a bunch of grenades. It also had some castrated bulls for effect. I told MJ if he ever came near my kid that after I was done he would consider the bulls extremely lucky.

Why do you think MJ suddenly moved to Europe? He figures I can't carry my guns over there. Little does he know I have vast connections through out Europe and Northern Africa. No where is safe for that freak!!!!! :diablo:

disclaimer: of all the above is a joke and only should be taken as such. I in know way am threatening anyone so all you FBI guys can go elsewhere.

kulangflow 01.30.2009 12:33 PM

E-mail sent. Thank you for the consideration and possible opportunity!

BL_RV0 01.31.2009 09:26 PM

Patrick- have you made your decisions?

Finnster 02.02.2009 01:13 AM

Wow.. beta testing to pedophelia/MJ... that's some serious tangents we got going here lol

G/L on the motors, wish I had some time to really play w/ one.

skellyo 02.02.2009 03:52 PM

Any updates Patrick?

alangsam 02.03.2009 04:58 PM

Id pay 149 to beta test the motor as long as they would warranty.

BL_RV0 02.03.2009 09:47 PM

Patrick- have you decided who the testers will be?

Arct1k 02.04.2009 03:01 PM

Ping - Just wondering if this happened?

Pdelcast 02.04.2009 03:17 PM

Hasn't happened yet guys... I'm sorry.

I had surgery on Friday (umbilical hernia) and thought I'd be back to work on Monday. Well, here it is Wednesday, and I'm still not able to sit upright for more than a few hours at a time.

It will happen this week. I got the motors all here, jsut need to review the applications.

AND BTW, I have some 1500Kv 1520 motors for Beta testing now as well. So I'll expand the beta to 12 motors -- let me know if you would prefer to test the longer, lower Kv (and somewhat stronger) 1520 motors instead.

Patrick

skellyo 02.04.2009 04:11 PM

Patrick...sent you an e-mail with which motor I would prefer if I am chosen as a Beta Tester.

Arct1k 02.04.2009 04:24 PM

Ouch... get well soon - But just think of the mad ideas you can come up with whilst on bed rest! Take care...

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/umb...ernia/DS00655/

PPS Seriously torn on motor choice! Is the 1520 enough for an E-Baja on 6s4p A123? Or do you have a magical HvMMM for 12s2p A123 for testing?

emaxxnitro 02.04.2009 06:31 PM

email sent... for the 1500kv 1520

hemiblas 02.05.2009 01:36 AM

I'm thinking the 1800 seems more up my alley, but that 1520 is tempting. I would be ok with either one, but even on 6S that 1520 seems kind of a low rpm. Sounds like it needs a pretty big project to take advantage of all that torque.

lutach 02.05.2009 11:12 AM

I run a Neu 1521/1Y which has basically the same Kv of the 1520 and I run 5S lipos now and 6S if I want to impress a few nitro heads. With 6S I would recommend that Kv and Castle got it right. The 1518 seems like a good choice for 5S lipos. This is good stuff coming from Castle, I'll be waiting for you guys to post feedbacks on how they perform.

skellyo 02.06.2009 11:17 AM

TGIF...I'm hoping Patrick is feeling better and that we'll find out today who the lucky testers will be.

E-Revonut 02.06.2009 04:46 PM

I sent Patrick an e-mail last week as soon as I seen this! Would love to be testing out that 1800kv in my E-REVO on 5s!

Patrick

How are you feeling Patrick?

I'm sure the soreness will be with you for at least another few weeks. Just be sure to keep that incision clean.

Here's wishing you a healthy and speedy recovery.
