Here's mine.
1984 Toyota Landcruiser BJ60, diesel, 5spd. Pushing 550k KM now :oh: Upgrades are: homegrown bumpers and roofrack, 8000lb winch, old man emu 2.5" lift, 33X12.50 allterrains on 15" wagon wheels, 40gal fuel tank, safari snorkel, etc etc... http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1252898721.jpg |
My ute i wrote off 3 months ago - a HSV (holden special vehicles) VR Maloo- 304 V8 with modified exhaust, tricked t700 box with 2500 stall and pumping only 300 horsepower. Lost onto its roof dodging a kangaroo.
http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...1480/hsv-1.jpg Replaced with a imported Mitusbishi Lancer Evolution 8 Jap Spec- full turbo back stainless 304 exhaust Brass button clutch, Blitz sbc dual boost controller- its going to get worked over in the near future and has over 300bhp un boosted and oh yes a daily driver http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0412-1.jpg |

http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...T/DSCN1943.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...T/DSCN1944.jpg 2002 Ford Mustang GT - Daily (in the Summer) Pretty much all the regular bolt-ons: K&N CAI, Steeda Underdrive pulley kit, Steeda adjustable timing pulley, C&L MAF sensor, Magnaflow catback, Steeda Short throw shifter w/Bullitt shift knob. About 100k miles on stock plugs, brakes, and clutch. It's in the shop right now, I kinda ran out of road at about 60 MPH. Not totally sure what happened but I went ~100 feet off the road, launched it off the road, and landed in a small pond  I'm still pretty pissed at what happened, but the car is fixable so it's all good. Oh yeah, I'm OK too. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...95-Retouch.jpg 1997 Mazda Protege - Daily Old pic (I ditched those stupid hubcaps and got alloys), but the best I've got. KYB GR-2 struts, HD clutch and pressure plate, Bosch cap rotor and wires, NGK Iridium IX plugs, and K&N filter (not cold air, just one of the ones that fits in the stock box). Totally gutless and despite the big improvement in handling by going to the KYB struts it still doesn't handle nearly as well as the Mustang, but 40+ MPG in the Summer and it gets me anywhere I need to go. EDIT: Didn't mention any races. The Mazda is the one I've driven the hardest, been pretty easy on the Mustang (until I sank it, of course). I took some idiot in a V6 Hyundai Sonata from a dig, that was funny. I kept up with a Dirtymax Chevy truck, smoked my friend's Mercedes 300D and his Subaru Forester, took out another friend's V6 Toyota Rav4, and I've toyed with people with it. If I had an automatic it would be horrifically slow, if it weren't so light it wouldn't do as well as it does now. I have had it faster than the Mustang, as well. The governor on the Mustang kicks in at 135 and the Mazda hits the fuel cut (nearly 7,000 RPM) at about 150 in 5th gear. The only thing I've raced in the Mustang has been a Nissan 240SX. I walked away from him from a dig, 20 roll, 40 roll, and he didn't stand a chance against me when we did a 60 roll. It's got the stock rear gears (3.07:1, I believe) which means it doesn't really accelerate too well but it has plenty of torque. I want to go to 3.73s but cruising at 90 MPH at 2,000 RPM is so nice. |

http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z..._4684Small.jpg This is my 1988 Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo IMSA GTO Champion edition. (long enough name?) There were only about 70 of the IMSA GTO Champion edition released after Toyota won the championship the prior year. It's very rare to find one, especially in decent condition. It needs some work, but it looks good and runs really well. It is AWD and turbo-charged. It has the same motor/turbo as the MR2 Turbo. It has 190hp/190 lb-ft torque factory, and it is still bone-stock. I don't street race, but I love to accelerate quickly entering the freeway, and I love being able to pass people on a two lane road. It's not Corvette-fast, but it's a lot quicker than most people would expect for a 21 year old Celica. I plan on doing a full restoration over the next 10 years or so if money and time permit, and I hope to keep it forever. Most importantly, I smile every time I see it or drive it. I love this little car. Especially for only $3k. :-) Edit: I did race my brother in his 6-spd Nissan Sentra Spec-V. I won, but just barely. lol |

Mine, it's 100% stock http://i703.photobucket.com/albums/w...h_P9150010.jpg The wife's...Nissan Stagea (file image); V6 turbo, AWD, 206kw, 407nm, Nizmo bits & pieces. A true sleeper, looks like a Volvo/Audi...drives like a scalded cat |
That alltrac sure is purdy Kulang! Haven't seen one in a long time and can't remember the last time I saw one in decent shape. Thanks for the post!

http://i30.tinypic.com/s6rj7s.jpg 1988 Silverado 1500. It's got the a 5.7L V8 witch sounds nice! and it's made compleatly out of steel! Has a 100% custom trailer hitch made by my grandpa(was his) out of 2 1/4 steel plates and a solid 2x2in steel square bar. It is welded strait to the frame and steel bumper! a 98 celica rear ended it once and the hitch went threw the lights and bentup the hood and fender on the celice but only bent the hitch and bumper down a little on my truck:lol: So it's very heavy, durable, extreamly reliable, simple, and new looking! It has 55,000miles on it, 100% origanal (except for exoust and tires. (i hate those tires!)). It spent 14 years sitting in a shead before we replaced the dry-rotted tires and belt and then the next day, we drove it 400 miles home from alabama. other than the fuel pump failing last year, it has not broken down at all, even after sitting for 14 years now, here is my brother's car beside my truck: http://i31.tinypic.com/huoup3.jpg it's an 05 Charger RC. we have put aftermarket exoust, cold air intake, and we have tuned it with a diablo pretitor so it now has about 415hp. other than that, we have gotten a honeycomb grill, front air dam, and the old style R/T symbole on the grill. |

My wifes new (used) ride, 2006 Honda element. Has the same 2.0 dohc motor my 1989 Honda preluda (1000 lbs lighter) had in college and that was no race mobile. has suicide doors in the back and a waterproof interior though |

my summer daily driver - an '04 Z roadster. na for now. the only mods so far are shorty antenna, JWT popcharger, plenum spacer, and race pipes. but i have a lot of future plans for her...... i've had mustang after mustang try, but i never accept. i'll wait until she's where i want her to be before i race. but i did have it at 130mph on a freeway here in detroit once.... and still had room to go. |

Holy shite JZ, you win the lotto at some point? Nice grand national.
My current car is my 02 Mazda P5, mostly stock @ 160K. Its my commuter car and its been awesome. I did a few engine mods to my Chevy s10 blazer I had in college, but seemed like a waste on a the Mazda I was just going to drive into the ground commuting 30K+/yr I was drving at the time. Nice to see all the mazda on here. What I'd really like to get as a toy car to build out is an '88 Pontiac Fiero GT and drop in a Northstar V8, a supercharged buick 3800 v6, or even a turbo 4cyl. The northstar would be the coolest. 2 seater mid-engine. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/92/23...g?v=1157747748 I found one when I was still in school (~1999 or so) that had only 12k mi on it, literally owned by an older woman who only drove it on Sundays to church in the summer (garaged otherwise.) It even smelled and felt new. Only - was it was auto and not a 5spd. She wanted $3K for it, but I was broke as a joke then, and 'ol Pops held the title to the S10 and didn't want to sell it and loan me the money for it. Still a bit bitter about that one. Should have been less responsible, said F it, and get my own loan lol. Not that I had any $ to fix it up tho. Now RCs are my little money pits. |

I see some nice cars and trucks here. I'm a retired minitrucker if there is such a thing.
I had a couple of old cars before, like an early 80's Datsun B210, early 80's Toyota Corollas, mid 80's Nissan 720 King Cab and D21 pickup(pathfinder grill and headlights model), 84 Nissan Sentra(made me into a bionic man). Daily driver right now is a 2K Toyota Camry. 5 speed manual, Royal purple oil in tranny and engine, Centerforce clutch and the commom K&N. Family commuter is my gas guzzler '06 Expedition. Common K&N and Royal purple oil. Actually saw a 3mpg increase on highway driving with the Royal purple. City driving still sucks. Parked on my driveway is the Nissan 720. It's a 2 seater, so just my son and I could chill in it. Wifey and daughter have to stay home, hence the purchase of the gas monkey. I have some pics on cardomain --> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/426334 http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0050_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0001_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0027_large.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0028_large.jpg |

'68 El Camino setup specifically for drag racing. It's run a best of 11.39 @ 117 MPH with a naturally aspirated small block. Many big-block cars have been surprised by it

On my expedition(5.4L 300HP) I started to see the increase in MPG after 1500 miles on a roadtrip to South Florida. Avg 17.6MPG@77MPH (cruise control). The beast took 7 quarts of 5W-20. With oil filter cost was 65 bucks at local Pennzoil oilchange shop. You can't beat 12000miles oil changes  |
Quote:
|
Well, I only have a ~160HP car, but even if I didn't see mpg/power increases, the change interval would be welcome. Just gotta see if my local oil-changing place can get it...
|
Quote:
It's about 12000miles oilchange interval. But you do have to change your oilfilter every 5K and add what you are missing. But my local Walmart carries the 10K miles oil filters. I never tried them though. |

BrianG keep in mind Royal Purple is a top notch company started by leading chemical engineers in the field. They are located north of Houston in Porter and I know several people who work for them.
I have used RP for near 10 years and they make great products. They had 12k mile oil long before Mobil1 and the others. They are ahead of the game and that's the reality. |
i win the "heaviest vehicle" award! haha

1987 nissan vanette
packing a huge 2L diesel making 67hp and 97 lb/ft of torque. 2.4GVM does a top speed of 120km/h.....!!!!!!! and it drags off other cars from the red light for the first 20 meters if you store the extra power in the massive flywheel and drop the clutch in 3rd. also is unstallable, havent stalled it once!! |
I was all about going fast when I was a kid, befor digital camera's so I have no pics of any of my rides. I always had 1 or 2 old Ford PU's until I decided on something a little nicer .
Here's my attempt to hold onto my youth like a fat out of gas old bastard LOL. 97 Grande Cherokee Limited, the big 6cyl with K&N,Header-single 3" exhaust,Chip, every bulb has ben replaced with LED and have Xenon headlamps. Tunes are JL Audio,Focal, Eclipse. The interior has almost a hundred pounds of Dynamat, roof, floor, door skins, inner door panels etc The sound qaulity is incredible !! Interior Green tweed and black leather. Rolling on 20's but shopping 22's in solid chrome, should accentuate the paint nicely. Recently installed a 6 trumpet 120dcbl air horn pushing/140psi w/3/4" dump valve OMG. http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...9170002_01.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...z/P5140012.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...z/P5140013.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...z/P5140016.jpg |

Just picked a Exploder up a few weeks ago. Needed a trans so I went ahead and swapped it over to a manual trans and threw on some old wheels and tires.
Plans for it at D44/9" full width solid axle swap. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...orer/tires.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...rer/tires5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...rer/tires3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...r/DSCI0004.jpg |
oh oh ohhhooh, man how I wish my Expedition had a manual tranny in it. I feel so gay when I use that overdrive button.

Royal purple is the go for all track work if you need a cheap oil that's good, go elf
