Heeeyyyy GUYS....................
I just read a lot of the replies and well wishes. Let me tell you, my RCM brothas mean a lot to me, and knowing you guys have my back so to speak really is heartwarming. I feel like we are all characters in "Good Will Hunting". I'm the weak smart ass, all you guys are the tough and the genius brothers, and Monster Mike is our adoptive parent. Just remember Linc, It's not your fault. It's not your fault Linc. It's not your fault.
So here's an update: Week 1: Successful The reconstructive surgery is complete and 7 of 42 days of recovery is over. I am still in the hospital on I.V. antibiotics, and will remain here until all infection is gone. It should be 2-3 days, then I'll be moving to a nursing home for the rest of the recovery. It does look like I'll also be getting a back surgery to help remedy the scoliosis. I may get a couple weeks in between recovery and the back stuff, but I'm trying to get all my health stuff done consecutively. I've had enough down time. Internet here f'ing sucks. I won't be on much but will update y'all when I can. I can't even facebook! I was all OMG! And the nurse was all LOL so I thought to myself 187 w/ a .223 bee-yatches! On top of all the great things you guys said, Caleb, my 12 year old called me out of the blue today on his first cell phone. I'm number 1 on his "circle" of 10 phone friends. Shit happens in life guys. I'm eyeball deep in Shit City right now, but my RCM brothas and local homies got my back, and I'm number 1 on my boys calling list. Life is what you make it, I'm making the best of mine. PEACE OUT BROTHAS:intello: |
That's awesome man. Keep the good news comin'!

Wow, I may be able to translate JJ, but Harold can speak 13yr old girl fluently...
Best o' luck on the recovery big guy (not a fat joke, BTW). Hope the nurses keep their end up, so to speak. |

I do understand that it is not my fault, but I can take the blame if necessary... |

Hey Harold we are glad to hear from you Brotha, and to know that things are going as well as can be expected. Keep the nurses busy, but stay out of trouble you pervert. Don't worry though, because we will all still be here throwing CRAP at James trying to keep him down when you are ready to come back. Life is good. |
:yipi: Glad to hear the first on went well!!! Stay tough :mdr:

Harold best of luck in your recovery. Here in the UK a Nursing home is where people go when they are very very old (old folks home) but I think in the US it must be a place where you go to have your rehab / recovery.
I hope your surgery turns out to be successful and you come out of there fast and on time. Thanks for all the help you gave me and all the good stuff you do for others. Mohan |
Harold, glad to hear from you and that all is going well.
My wife works with 13 year old girls, and for a second I thought one had stolen your account info and was posting, lol! Good luck with the rest and will keep you in my prayers. |
Glad you're doing better Harold.
|

Just chillin'
If anybody is watching this thread, here is a little update. It sounds like I will be actually moving tomorrow to a nursing home. I have never been to one that has internet access, so I might not be online for a month or more:surprised:. Which of course really sucks. On top of all my other worries I don't have renters insurance. I have removed my r/c's and computer from my apartment, so the important thinggs are safe.
I'm pretty heavily medicated for pain, so if my writings are redundant or don't make sense, blame it on the pain meds. Since I'm paralyzed I can't feel anything below my nipples. absolutely no sensation. But I have the staff here convinced that the pain from my surgery on my arse is unbearable. All of the cute nurses are married. I'm still doing you all proud and flirting with them all. The pain meds are kicking in I haveno idea mwhere this post is headed, so I'll sign off. I'll talk to you guys as soon as I can. I miss my RCM family and wish you all well. Peace Out to one and all. -Harold |
High as a kite
Harold,
Now you make the best of your stay in the Nursing Home... and get better soon fast. The sedation will help you relax  |
Have a good one Harold! Best of luck to a speedy recovery.
|
Good luck Harold! Save some meds for us!
|
Good luck Harold! Maybe you'll luck out with the internet access.

Don't worry, be happy.
With you Harold all that comes to mind is that Bob Marley song. "Don't worry, be happy", while thinking of you stoned on meds trying to cop a feel from the nurses:intello:. You seem to always try in making the best of whatever situation you may be in. So don't give up on that motivation. We will all be here when you get back waiting to give you a hard time. Sorry to hear about this setback, but life goes on. We are glad that you are not really in any pain, but don't get yourself hooked on the meds or the soap operas:whistle:. Spend your time working on a new design for your next R/C project, or even some patent for some new invention that we can all benefit from. Life's too short to waste time sitting around feeling sorry for ones self, so don't get caught up in any of that crap. We have plenty of verbal abuse for you right here, and James needs your supportive banter to keep him in line, so get back here soon. See you back in here in a month or so. Good luck old man.
|
Most nursing home rooms have phone jacks which means you can at least get dial up. I know that is archaic but better than nothing. Good luck you are in our prayers.
|
Hang in there Harold, it will be back to normal before you know it.
Besides, those older ladies in there could make you there "Boy Toy" :na: |
