It takes over 3 minutes to complete the course. It gets 15/15 with 0% efficiency. It is, however, badass.

you just HAD to be that guy and outdo my warthog lol. at least you get the same score as me

Well the internet speed definatley makes a huge difference in your times.. I built the same cart that would give me 15/15 in around 38 seconds at home with verizon DSL(~765kbps down), and at work (T1 connection, buku speed) and I was able to get 14 seconds, which is the slowest 100% efficiency time

I'm not sure its the internet speed but the computer speed. My computer is slow and my internet is pretty fast. I just checked it and it's 3.12mbps.

I will second that, we had our power go out for an hour last night and I was still able to play the game without an internet connection. I am using an Acer laptop and it's not the quickest unit around

eovnu87435ds 03.29.2009 10:16 PM

i dont know... it wouldnt make much sense, but I was on the same computer at home and work. i brought it with me and it was faster. I assume it factors in to the equation, but its not the whole reason... All that matters i that if I want a high score, design at home, then race at work!

Metallover 03.29.2009 10:29 PM

how many applications were running in each situation? I think free memory is the reason. My computer has 512mb of memory and it's always slow as crap and I'll never get under 30 seconds...

brushlessboy16 03.29.2009 10:30 PM

I tried this on my moms laptop, the speed and quality of the graphics processor makes a world of difference, i was able to get 15/15 22s 100%

4 wheeled machine with independent suspension :)

same laptop, with just firefox, with just that page

Metallover 03.29.2009 10:53 PM

how long was the computer on each time? I'm sure you just didn't have as much free ram. The internet connection doesn't matter.

brushlessboy16 03.30.2009 08:48 AM

1 Attachment(s)
Im on a different computer with lots of ram, game runs very fast!

Secret to it is making a closing lid :)

Arct1k 03.30.2009 09:20 AM

100% in 14s

jhautz 03.30.2009 09:26 AM

Best Ive gotten is 15/15 in 15 seconds. 99%

I build the same cart on another computer and the best I can do is 28 seconds. I am conviced that it is computer related on how fast you can go.

Arct1k 03.30.2009 09:35 AM

100% in 13 secs - I'm done...

PC speed up to a point is definatley a component...

brushlessboy16 03.30.2009 10:14 AM

Its addicting, I have been playing for 2 blocks at school

Ive been playing it since 1st qtr. Still my favorite online game.

BrianG 03.30.2009 12:19 PM

Best I can get is 24 seconds, 15/15, and 96% efficiency. PC speed is definitely a factor.

Takedown 03.30.2009 12:40 PM

Cant imagine what computer setup the guy that got 9secs was using.

BrianG 03.30.2009 12:58 PM

Probably overclocked heavily. Makes sense; spend tons of cash to make your computer fast enough to do a 9 second coconut run on a free game. The reward must be the bragging rights.

I remember seeing a mac pro I think. It had 32gb ram.:gasp:

or the dual (optical) superdrives!!

i like to go to the apple store online and build a best-you-can-get mac pro and imagine them shipping it to me. too bad it's over $15k... just for the tower! but 8 core processors? 4 independent drive bays for 4tb total? 32gb of ram? 2 superdrives? heh. lemme wipe the drool off my desk now....

And i have gotten to play on a mac pro before... A friend of mine has 2 in his office at work, with a total of 40 virtual machines running on them!

I didn't steal Ben's idea of a closing lid, of course not!:whistle::oops:

Takedown 03.30.2009 11:18 PM

You didnt steal the idea from anyone. Many people have done it and know it works.

rawfuls 03.30.2009 11:24 PM

I was just kidding :p

johnrobholmes 03.31.2009 09:35 AM

You can also just put a bunch of wheels on the screen and watch them cascade around the level under your control. Quite fun :D

jhautz 03.31.2009 09:37 AM

I actually like ceating a bunch of wheels attached by single "shock" devices and have them all rubber banding around each other. Very fun to watch...

Takedown 04.01.2009 12:55 PM

15/15 in 14secs. Locked axle with a trapdoor design to keep the coconuts from escaping.

Metallover 04.01.2009 04:31 PM

I had to work on a trvel to a place project in speech in the computer lab today. I'm going to Israel... Anyway I played this on the schools nice computers and building a quick vehicle I got 15/15 in 15 seconds.

Takedown thats a SWEET design.:surprised:

Takedown 04.01.2009 10:05 PM

Thanks metal.

Metallover 04.01.2009 10:12 PM

I think the draw-a-rectangle prices are lighter then the regular sticks, so that might decrease your times a little. I have to experiment for myself but I wanT to know the ideal wheel size. Just like gearing an rc...
