LOL!

sorry, what do i use these coggles for??

coolhandcountry 11.10.2006 06:50 PM

HEHE! My brother used to pic on me about my maxx. He told me it was the only
truck he seen you need eye googles to play with it. :)

Would running in that sand contribute to the high temps? After all, the truck bites harder and works harder in sand then on a track or pavement.

coolhandcountry 11.10.2006 09:19 PM

It may. It accually has to pull harder than like on hard pack. Maybe the spinning to. Lets the motor free wind some what to much.

Nice pics! Looked like a fun day. That would be fun to head out to the beach and build a little track.:028:

ive been trying to find examples of converted revos for a few days now. i saw a vid and it was awsome. do you mind showing me some pics of the chassis and what all you did to convert it?

Hi RevRacer.

Welcome to the forum.

Check out Dafni's thread.

Here is another thread which might be usefull.

Revracer 11.25.2006 12:45 PM

thanks man. yeah i looked at that thread too. and a few others, but nothing that shows how the system was actually set up. and i cant find one that explains very good about using the stock chassis. any ideas?

That's probably because there are many ways the conversion can be done. Some of it depends on what kind/how many/size of batteries used. Or, if you want to use the emaxx tranny or revo tranny. Or, if you want to use a disc brake, etc.

I would think about what you want to use it for (racing, bashing, on-road, etc). Then, figure out what kind of batteries you want to use. Dafni's setup uses a saddle battery arrangement of NiMHs on each side. Mine uses a design where the batteries are all on one side and the motor and other parts on the other for weight balance. And that's just two conversions...
