I just placed another order for a whopping 43.00 4 lipos and 12 razor knifes with the break away blades for .99, how can you go wrong with a deal like that ?
|
$43.00?
For 4 lipos? Jeez, are you buying small lipos? My Turnigy 2S 5000mAhs totalled up to $54 for two! |

Nothing yet.
I have not had the pleasure of purchasing anything from Hobbycity just yet, but I have spent well over $20K on the R/C hobby in general over the last 4 years. Most of my purchasing powers have been spent on RCM, UE, T/H, A-Main, Casttle, R/C4WD, Fastlane, Nomadio, and even M/A once just to name a few. Considering their prices on Lipos and such I am sure that some of my money will end up in that direction soon. I try to do my best to support the local USA vendors when I can. I believe that we need to do our utmost to keep America moving in the right direction by spending our $$$ at home, even if our own Gov is not. Just my opinion...

Some killer deals now http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=9176

I just got 5 packs of the 25c flavor in to boost my last bike build. It will have 12s 20ah with the extra pack, and 10ah with the standard pack.
Can't wait to finish it up and start ripping up town again. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/atta...0&d=1261171666 |
Your bike and that reduction unit are sexy!
I have a mongoose blackcomb which is the same as one of doctorbass's bkes. I am going to talk to methods about hooking me up with a rear 9 26" 9c and the works. Just quick, what size controller should I look for with a 26" 9c@44.4v? Is a turnigy Watt meter and a gps good enough or should I go for the CA? |
More details
Hey Holms can you share some more detailed pics of your bike. It looks pretty cool, but I would like to see a little bit more. What bike is that and how did you hook it all up? Do you have a thread on your bike already? Just asking.

Just put in a new order of lipos for the 1/8 buggy. Hmm I could use some more carbon fiber too.......
|
$300 spent there. Will make another order come spring for some 8th scale packs. Looking at the 4s 5800mah packs now. If I go down to 4s from my current 6s setup I think this is what I will be ordering.
|
i've spent over $600 there. i love their turnigy lipos and the chargers there are great for the price. i just bought 4 of the 5200mah 30c hardcase turnigy packs and they have more punch and less heat than my smc 9000mah 28c packs. i also got that one charger that goes up to 10a and 6s lipo (200w).
i love hobbycity for their cheap turnigy lipos and there batteries are surprisingly better than half of the US brands that i've seen. |
$1659, wow, kinda wish I hadn't added that up now.
|
i've spent nothing at hobbycity.. i support my LHS when i have to buy stuff.. but when i upgrade to LiPo HC will have my (or Lincs) total go up..lol..

http://www.hobbypartz.com/tht6smbach16.html and one of these: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html By far the bast chargers I've own. I absolutely love them. The AC6 is for the home workbench and the T6 goes with me to the track(it's really tiny so its easy to throw in the pit bag). Now if were talking about hobbypartz I think i've passed $1,000 mark...thats a lot for me! |
Only $242.63, thats in 3 orders. Don't ask what I've spent at Tower this year.....
|
HobbyCity: around $300
Tower Hobbies: I'd rather not know Amain Hobbies: Ditto on Tower Daves motors: I want to cry now.... |
1425.03 at Hobby City.
2480.97 at Hobby Room. 613.70 at A Main Hobbies. 4154.57 at ebay, RCM, and other places. I am not counting the trips I made to the LHS. I am a sick man. Help me. |
The vast majority of my brushless component (ESC/motor/battery) purchases are from RCM. I don't even want to know how much that comes out to be. :oh:
I've spent a total of $330 on HC so far. It's really hard to pass up the price on the Turnigy lipos. |
Spent close to 500 at hobby city
Well over 1000 at amain I dont even want to tally up ebay.... |
HC - $1,000+
Tower - $10,000+ Amain - $15,000+ RCM - I guess around $1,000 Others - a lot Joy from the hobby - PRICELESS  Glad not everything was for me, but for my friends, but still I spend a lot. However better than my wife spending that money :diablo: |

Have you actually spent over $27,000.U.S.D on R/C stuff in one year? |

|
I did not say a year :) It is over 3 years.
And lot of the stuff was for my friends. I spend on average $500 a month. More in summer during outdoor racing season, less in winter. And not all expenses are RC parts. There is travel to races, acommodation and stuff. But it's worth it. Most spring/summer weekends gone with friends. Racing during the day and drinking during the night :) |
This thread has more info on the bikes http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...495#post341495

Thanks guys, I was beginning to fell guilty about the amount I spend on my rc habit but not any more:whistle:
|
I have spent about 20k since I started rc which was in early 07. I have about 6-8k right now, I sold about 5k worth in the last few months. Spent that twice over on guns though, I do not even dare to think what I have in guns/ammo/related...
|
Alrighty, I just placed my first order to hobbyking. $162 for a pair of 5S 30C 5000mAh Turnigy Lipos. I have a feeling they'll be getting a lot more of my money for batts from now on.

Great price
Compared to Maxamps for 5S 30C lipos that is an awesome price. What a deal, and from all of the reviews I have seen they run just as well or even better. Thanks for sharing.
|
I have been running the crap out of my Turnigy packs for two years with zero problems and I always balance charge them at 2c (10amps) Best bang for the buck IMHO!
