The pushrod and turnbuckles are de-anodized Traxxas.

Well I've been running the MMP for a few days. My speed gun comes in today... hopefully UPS leaves it on my door since nobody is going to be home. Anyways here are a few pics of the Neu 1115 mounted with the MMP:

Where did you get the motor heatsink and motor mount?

LiqrSicc 10.29.2009 05:24 PM

It's a Driven Productions heatsink from TheToyz. The 1st mount is the STRC mount and mount plate. The second mount in the latest pictures with the Neu 1115 is a custom made mount to fit the 47t pinion.

What up Brandon! I'm headin out to Reno this weekend but I'm looking for a spot where I can run this at full throttle. Any ideas?

Absolutely stunning build there dude, and it goes like a rocket... a very small rocket... :mdr:

On the custom chassis front, have you taken a look at this build:

I know its aluminium, but the same principles should work for a CF version

Yup! Kaz gave me a lot of insight and has helped me out a lot on this build! The problem I have is the chassis has a kickup in the front and a slight "kickdown" in the rear. I'm not an expert at CF so I'm not sure if it'll be ok to heat it and try to bend it. There's a guy on another forum that made one using the stock upper chassis bolted to a bottom plastic chassis. He just cut off the battery compartments and the surrounding area of the chassis mounts. I might look into that design. It'll be easier but not as "cool" though

On some other news, my speed gun came in today. Now I just need a smooth straightaway and a camera man!

That is such a cool little build. Wish Gmaxx would make a little g3r chassis. Haha:whistle:

Lol I meant some straightaways here near Roseville!

In the meantime I painted a new body for me and a new one for the lady:

Speed runs tomorrow! Somewhere

BlackedOutREVO 10.30.2009 12:59 AM

OOOOO. Hahaha.

I think in the buildings by that cell tower might be good? A little before buljan school. Theres like a fabric factory back in there?

Or theres a really good place in lincoln I know of thats always pretty dang empty and there hugeeee.

And also, the next slash race isnt this coming sat. Its next. They moved slash to sat 2 times a month. And tc 2 times a month on saturdays. Indoor racing starts soon! haha

LiqrSicc 10.30.2009 01:08 AM

I work down the st from Buljan... might have to check it out.

I quit the slash races... sold my slash to preorder the 4x4 slash... I think I'm gonna hop into the F1 races on Wednesdays though

Video FINALLY

Ok my 1st speed run with all the new upgrades. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Obviously my errors:

1- suspension is raised up
2- straightaway not long enough to build speed on a gradual throttle
3- wet pavement in the by the starting point
4- no spoiler/no weight on the front end

The wet pavement did not help at all as I had to feather it past that patch by the starting point or it would get squirrelly. I have my Spektrum SR3520 in there and I've I've been having range issues with it. Today was not an exception. The highest I hit was 64mph before the front end would lift. It's definitely an aerodynamics issue. Hopefully a front spoiler fixes that. Weird, I ran it last night without the body and hit 75mph easily using my stock body. I've been using a small 8oz bar magnet on my previous runs where I've reached 80mph. I guess the weight made a major difference. Now I'm debating weather or not I should just use the weight or use a front spoiler.

As for the power, its there. I hit 64mph at just a little over half throttle. Main reason why it was flipping over was probably because I was trying to throttle too hard before the road ended. Did about 20+ runs and the temps were cool at 130 ESC and 125 motor.

I'll be pretty busy this weekend but I will keep my eyes open for a long straightaway so there will be video updates this weekend. I'm a little disgusted at 64mph Lol

Anyways, here's the big disappointment:
